Netanyahu's wife shares conspiracy claim that opposition leader knew of Oct 7 attacks in advance

Sara Netanyahu, the wife of the Israeli prime minister, has claimed an opposition figure was aware of the plan for Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack before it happened.

Her remarks, which triggered outrage across Israel's opposition, highlight the country's deep political polarisation ahead of close-fought elections to be held on October 27.

In a television interview broadcast on Monday evening, Sara Netanyahu lashed out at Yair Golan, the former deputy military chief of staff who heads Israel's centre-left Democrats party.

She suggested Golan was "already dressed and ready" at dawn on October 7, 2023, "while others knew nothing, including the prime minister".

Golan's party said it strongly condemned the "vile and deceitful" remarks.

"Spreading conspiracies against Major General Yair Golan, and smearing his heroism on October 7, is crossing a red line that borders on insanity," it wrote on X.

Gadi Eisenkot, a former army chief who has emerged as the frontrunner to challenge Netanyahu, slammed the "mad conspiracy of betrayal" spread by the prime minister's wife.

Sara Netanyahu's accusations reflect recurrent conspiracy theories among a part of the Israeli political class and its supporters.

According to a poll conducted for Channel 13 in August, 40 percent of Israelis, and 63 percent of voters for the current right-wing coalition, believe that internal treason led to the October 7 attack – the deadliest day in Israel's history.

Netanyahu, Israel's longest-serving prime minister who has billed himself as the guarantor of the country's safety, has deflected blame for the attack, saying that security officials should have woken him from his sleep.

Stanley Kubrick’s Daughter Tackles ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ Missing 20 Minutes Conspiracy Theory

Kubrick took to X to give a very detailed response to a conspiracy theory that involves unreleased footage, a different ending, and even Jeffrey Epstein.

First, here’s the rumor, which basically combines a couple different ideas that have been making the rounds for years: Kubrick’s original cut supposedly contained an additional 20 minutes of footage (for a runtime of 179 minutes instead of 159 minutes) and a much darker ending. In this version, the sex cult that ensnares Tom Cruise’s character is revealed to be a child sex ring, and Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s characters sacrifice their daughter to the cult. As the theory goes, Warner Bros. objected to this ending, and re-cut the film after Kubrick died suddenly (and, in some tellings of the tale, suspiciously). The idea was that Kubrick either knew about Epstein’s crimes, or knew about a similar group. The theory was boosted by a 2024 episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast where screenwriter Roger Avary said he heard such reports secondhand.

Previously, the film’s editor, Nigel Galt, said Kubrick’s final edit is essentially the same movie that was released. Now Vivian Kubrick, who collaborated with her father on several films, has weighed in (and tagged Rogan, Alex Jones and included a slew of Epstein-related hashtags for good measure).

“You know, this is as good a time as any to finally address the missing 20 minutes from Eyes Wide Shut,” Vivian began. “It’s a story that has been circulating for many years, so let me tell you what I actually know and don’t know. There has been a lot of speculation that some 20 minutes were removed from Eyes Wide Shut after he died. This will be very disappointing to many people, but I certainly did not hear anything about a missing 20 minutes at the time, nor have I heard anything since that would confirm such a section ever existed. Sandra Bullock confirms there are ‘alien ships flying around’ the sky: ‘I have seen them’

“There are alien ships flying around the sky,” the 62-year-old Hollywood icon confirmed in a new episode of Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast (below).

Bullock continued, stressing, “I have seen them, and I’m so happy that the government has finally corroborated my story so I no longer feel like an insane person.”

The Blind Side and Miss Congeniality star went on to recount her experience witnessing multiple UFOs flying over a coastal area, as she said the moment happened when “we were filming in Saint Martin, and a bunch of us once went out” to the beach after production wrapped. (Bullock didn’t name the production outright, but her 1997 sequel Speed 2: Cruise Control filmed scenes in the Caribbean locale.)

“Looking up at the sky, I see this little point of light,” Bullock recounted. Initially thinking it was a satellite, Bullock didn’t pay much attention in the moment —until she noticed more lights joining it in the sky above.

“Then there’s another little light that comes from a different direction to meet that light there,” she said. “There were five altogether. They all sort of came together,” she continued, and said she again resisted thinking too much about it because she had “a bit of a buzz going” after a few drinks when filming wrapped for the day.

“All of a sudden they just, poof, took off like that,” Bullock said, which communicated to her that the crafts were not of this world.

“I think one of the other people had seen it as well, then I was just quiet about it until the government released the documents and that exact formation was also seen by legitimate pilots,” Bullock noted, referencing recent government files that have documented supposed UFO sightings throughout history.

Bullock said she feels “vindicated” by the confirmation of such documents, and said that aliens visiting our planet now might not take too kindly to what they see.

“I think they’re here watching and laughing, but they’re invisible,” Bullock said as Kelce laughed.

Delaware's ConCon 2026 brings conspiracy theory community together

Maybe you believe 2Pac is still alive, or the moon landing was staged, or that car insurance companies aren't actually running a legal extortion scheme.

Whatever conspiracy theories you might believe, you're welcome to share them in a safe Delaware space at the new ConCon Expo 2026 this fall.

The inaugural con is coming to the Siegel JCC in Talleyville Oct. 18. The event is promoted as "the world's first all-inclusive conspiracy convention," per the con's website.

Con Con is based on a made-up conspiracy convention featured in the 2026 indie mockumentary "The Conspiracists," presented by King Creative and Uncultured Swine. The film was shot in Delaware (including the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington) and follows siblings fighting to keep their conspiracy theory event, named ConCon, from falling apart. The event featured in the movie was held at the JCC.

"The Conspiracists” hit Amazon Prime in January.

Chris Bruce, owner of King Creative in Wilmington and executive producer of "The Conspiracists," said his new ConCon event is steeped in lightheartedness. The con is designed to bring people together through games, comic books and collectibles, unique vendors, and the sharing of ideas.

The expo portion of the event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features vendors and a mix of festivities such as:

A station where guests can make tinfoil hats
AllHipHop.com, in the building to discuss rap conspiracies
A contest in which the champion gives the best Bigfoot call
A game show where contestants test their instincts regarding what's real or fake
A vendor hall featuring collectibles, comics and indie artists

ConCon has three package plans for visitors. The basic $10 Civilian Pass won't get you into the watch party or cast Q&A session. If you want in on those, you'll need to buy the Conspiracist Pass for $15, or Classified Pass for $25 (which includes a group photo with the cast and a secret giveaway).
