Stupid things religious people say
RE: Stupid things religious people say
I hate the term "passed on" or even worse "passed" like it was an exam! Why are people so scared to say the word died?
I have told my family that if anyone says passed on about me when I die I'll come back and haunt them!
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Another example of loony tunes in the USA:

The video:
We interviewed Trump supporters at his rally, goes HORRIBLY WRONG
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STJGY4dIXMA

Jump to 4 min 25 s
BACKSTORY:
There is an interviewer and a lady being interviewed.
There is also a large crowd which I am assuming are Donald Trump supporters.
This is happening around the time that Donald is on trial. Stormy Daniels is a porn star which he raped (I think) and payed some hush money.

WHAT HAPPENS
The interviewer tells the lady about the Stormy Daniels hush money payment.
The lady asks “How do we know it is true? That is what it comes down to.
Everything in this time comes down to a spiritual reality.
The only way you can know what is true is to believe that there is absolute truth.
Do you believe that the Bible is absolute truth?
The reason why America is having a problem is that we need to get back to god.”

The interviewer says something like, “if we are going to use spirituality to determine what is true, what do we do if my spiritual reality is something different then yours.
Because you said empirical evidence is not a good way to determine what is truth, you said that spiritual methodology is the best way.”

The lady basically says she doesn’t want to talk about it.

Or as Scientologists put it

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The Dominican pastor Juan Gabriel Peña performed an exorcism on a woman who claimed that she was possessed by the spirit of the Colombian singer Shakira.

Mexico City, March 28 (La Opinión).- It has been done viral a video where a pastor is doing a exorcism to a Dominican woman. The same one that says that she is possessed by the spirit of the Colombian singer Shakira and what does he sing “Waka Waka” when you are in full “trance”.

Right in the middle of a ceremony in a church, the famous Dominican pastor Juan Gabriel Peña posted on his Twitter account Tik Tok a video of a woman who came to him, saying that Shakira’s spirit lives in her. In the clip that has gone viral on different social networks, the woman is seen with her eyes closed singing with the typical falsetto of the ex de Gerard Piqué el “Waka Waka”.

It is also heard that those present, a bit incredulous, say: “Yes, but Shakira is alive.” To which the pastor replies: “Yes, but that is a song from Africa. Not from Shakira.” [they are still pushing the "inhuman savages" grift] While the woman is seen in the process of exorcism. Until the time of closing this note, her name and details of her beyond those discussed are unknown.

What? I was under the impression that Christians wanted more babies - the more the merrier.

I sleep pretty much like that baby in the bottom right pic, except on my left side. No wires, though. This guy should take a sabbatical to an island in the south Pacific that is about 5 feet above sea level at low tide.  Goodnight

That looks like a video game or a movie.

But, I can understand and I can predict that theists would be afraid of such things.
Some theists see themselves as the top of the line, the best design, the best model. The only thing better than them is their god.
They tend to not want to interfere with their god’s creation.

It reminds me of the movie AI (Artificial Intelligence). There is a part where there are humans that are obviously less educated, left behind the times, left in the time period of 19xx.
They have parties called Flesh Fairs and some priests (I assume he is a priest) encourages people to hate “artificiality” and to destroy them.

Jesus’s Chat with the Devil;
The Vision of Pope Leo XIII

Exactly 33 years to the day prior to the great Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, that is, on October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII had a remarkable vision. When the aged Pontiff had finished celebrating Mass in his private Vatican Chapel, attended by a few Cardinals and members of the Vatican staff, he suddenly stopped at the foot of the altar. He stood there for about 10 minutes, as if in a trance, his face ashen white. Then, going immediately from the Chapel to his office, he composed the prayer to St. Michael, with instructions it be said after all Low Masses everywhere. When asked what had happened, he explained that, as he was about to leave the foot of the altar, he suddenly heard voices – two voices, one kind and gentle, the other guttural and harsh. They seemed to come from near the tabernacle. As he listened, he heard the following conversation:

The voice of Satan: “I can destroy your Church.”

Our Lord: “You can? Then go ahead and do so.”

Our Lord: “How much time? How much power?"

Satan: “75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those who will give themselves over to my service.”

Satan: “To do so, I need more time and more power.”

Our Lord: “You have the time, you will have the power. Do with them what you will.”

Wow, what a coincidence that it was on January 25, 1959, that John XXIII publicly summoned the Second Vatican Council.

Remember that after the vision, Pope Leo XIII immediately wrote the Prayer to St. Michael to help us overcome the devil in his quest. He instructed that it be said after every low Mass.

One of the first changes to come from Vatican II, was the deletion of the Leonine Prayers which included the prayer to St. Michael. These prayers were eliminated in 1964, the 80th year of the devils 75 – 100 years needed to destroy the Catholic Church. It would seem that this would be the time to especially say that prayer, not to delete it.

The 100th year would be 1984. By 1984 John Paul II had let the devil develop a church that is called Catholic, but is not. The devil has twisted and distorted church teachings so much that there truly is a brand new church, a new order (Novus Ordo) and the true church has been reduced in population to a mere shell of what it once was, but it will survive.

Pilgrims impede progress at site of ‘weeping’ statue of Mary

Cars and coaches clog Trevignano Romano near Rome on the third day of every month when the statue’s owner, Gisella Cardia, appears to enter a state of ecstasy and takes down dictation in a notebook, allegedly from Mary herself.

On Friday a crowd of 600, including pilgrims from Poland, looked on as Cardia revealed Mary had told her to “avoid being tempted by Satan” because a “serious war is coming”.

At the February 3 event, pilgrims reacted angrily when police started handing them parking tickets as Cardia was taking dictation from the Virgin Mary.

Cardia, 53 acquired her statue in 2016 in Medjugorje in Bosnia, which has become a pilgrimage hub since six children said they saw visions of Mary there in 1981. Cardia said Mary started to talk to her, predicting the Covid outbreak in 2019 and telling her to put the statue up in a park overlooking Lake Bracciano.

As prayers get under way, accompanied by a guitarist and a singer, pilgrims have reported the sun pulses in a supernatural way. The local Catholic bishop announced this week he would launch an inquiry into the phenomenon.

Have any astronomers reported the sun pulsing?? If not, why not?
