Being lured into Satanism isn't half as bad as being lured into the GOP.

Buy your way out of hell while you still can

Televangelists of the past.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Same thing.

But the GOP is real.

I'm assuming they all watched a Harry Potter movie one day at the daycare center.

I wonder if this caught on? (It is from 1995)

Quote:Texas town says goodbye to ‘hello’

In this friendly little ranching town, “hello” is wearing out its welcome. And Leonso Canales Jr. is happy as heck.

At his urging, the Kleberg County commissioners on Monday unanimously designated “heaven-o” as the county’s official greeting. The reason: “hello” contains the word “hell.”

On Thursday, courthouse employees were answering the phones, “heaven-o.”

Canales, a Catholic but not a regular churchgoer, has been as serious as heck about “hello” since 1988, when he told his brother he might start greeting people with “God-o.” His brother suggested “heaven-o” instead.

I seriously held my breath when I ran the last couple payrolls on the new system. Several of our cleaning teams are made up of three crew members. Some of these teams were given tips that when split three ways meant I was paying some people the horrifying amount of $6.66. Due to the largely Catholic background of our staff, I expected blowback. So far, so good.

Yep, I am in Texas and have to think about such nonsense. OY!

What's the problem, if they don't want the money that's just more in the bank for you!
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!

I used to have a pretty close friend who wouldn’t call me because my landline phone number had three sixes in it. Not all in a row, but still.

Off and on over the years I have worked as a grocery store cashier and have seen people grab a candy bar or pack of gum to avoid paying 6.66 or any number ending in 6.66.

They walk among us.
