teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Even more Christians are standing up to public education. Kirk Cameron on his new movie ‘Home School Awakening:’ “We’ve become grossly aware of the inaccurate and immoral things that the public school system has been teaching our children .. The public school system has been public enemy number one.”

Watching that, I thought, no way that is the same Sister Cindy who preached by the fountain between the library and student union in 1985. She'd be pushing 70 now. Then she did the "For-ni-ca-shun!" thing where she bends over and waves her hand. That's either the same gal or a great impersonation. I wonder if Brother Jim is still around.

"If we get visited by aliens in physical space crafts, then I'm a Deist. Conversely, if I witness humanity changing from their evil ways and killing the Devil themselves, then I'm a Polytheist."
