Statistician: Decline in religion leads to decline in fertility

A decline in religion is likely to lead to a decline in fertility, according to a new analysis from statistician Ryan Burge.

“​​Every major religious tradition has centuries of theology and instruction about the value of finding a spouse and one common thread that runs through religious traditions is the admonition to have children,” Burge wrote in a September 5 article on his Substack.

According to Burge, Americans’ tendency to not be affiliated with any religion has resulted in fewer births.

The data showed that female respondents aged 15 to 50 who said they were not affiliated with any religion were twice as likely to have never been pregnant in their lives compared to women belonging to any faith.

I wonder if this statistic has to do more with church membership than with belief in supernatural stuff. 

Like women would be more likely to feel confident about having kids if they're part of a local community, with moral support and a pool of trustworthy babysitters. 

The only person in my family who is a member of a church is my brother's oldest daughter. She is very active in her church groups, and is also the only one in our family (so far) to reproduce. 

Remember that book Bowling Alone about the atomization of US social life? Something like that. Maybe if we had extended secular social groups of like-minded people who meet regularly, it would make potential mothers feel more confident.

Christian pastor Joel Webbon's explanation for why he always chooses a white doctor over a black one

An influential 'Christian Nationalist' pastor said that black doctors are given a 'free pass' in medical school.

Joel Webbon of the Covenant Bible Church in Texas told his social media followers that he would always choose a white doctor over a black doctor because 'if one of them was not qualified and was given a free pass, it'd be the black guy.'

The bearded cleric runs his church from a roadside restaurant outside Austin, but boasts nearly 200,000 followers on social media, and made his latest incendiary remarks on an edition of his Theology Applied podcast.

He claimed he would feel the same way if he was black, but was denounced for 'pure raw racism' as the comments went viral on X.

New 'God's Not Dead' film inspires Christians to make their voices heard at ballot box

A new film in the "God's Not Dead" film franchise encourages Christians not to be afraid to stand up for their beliefs and to exercise their influence in politics.

Wow, Christians were afraid to to stand up for their beliefs and to exercise their influence in politics. I did not know this.

"In a time of profound political, civil, and spiritual turmoil, Reverend David Hill grapples with the crucial question: Does God still have a place in politics?" the film's synopsis says.

Umm, no. God does not have a place in politics. Didn't Christians got the memo? The US has a secular govermant, it's not a theocracy or an absolute monarchy like the Vatican.

Taylor Swift Summons Demons in New Footage

Taylor Swift is back at it again when it comes to summoning in the demonic realm.

On X, footage of Swift watching a Chiefs football game has gone viral. However, if you look closely, the necklace she is wearing isn’t just another piece of jewelry.

“Pay close attention to Taylor Swift’s ‘jewelry’! What do you notice?” Matt Wallace posted on X sharing footage of Swift wearing the necklace.

Josette Caruso also posted an image of the necklace with the caption, “Occult inspired black hole necklace!”

However, this isn’t the first time that Swift’s jewelry has been questioned. Just a couple of weeks ago, Swift was seen wearing a pendant with a goddess inscribed on it.

According to Hello! Canada, Swift was seen wearing a pendant with Rhiannon, the Welsh goddess on it. Britannica defines Rhiannon as the goddess who was “accused of killing her infant son, and in punishment she was forced to act as a horse and to carry visitors to the royal court.”

If you’re skeptical of Swift’s jewelry choices, more footage has come out from her concerts which show blatant Satanic rituals being performed in the middle of the show.

Even stranger, is the footage of Zeena LaVey Schreck, the daughter of Anton LaVey who started the Church of Satan. The resemblance of LaVey and Swift is uncanny.

Here are some sayings by William Lane Craig. Are they stupid or smart? I mean he is a theologian, philosopher, and professor who has taught this to who knows how many thousands of young people.


It’s not hard to show that homosexual behavior is one of the most self-destructive and harmful behaviors a person could engage in. This fact is not widely publicized. Hollywood and the media are relentlessly bent on putting a happy face on homosexuality, whereas in fact it is a dark, twisted, and dangerous lifestyle, just as addictive and destructive as alcoholism or smoking.


I’m not going to describe the kinds of sexual activity practiced by homosexuals, but just let me say that our bodies, male and female, are designed for sexual intercourse in a way that two male bodies are not. As a result, homosexual activity, 80 percent of which is carried out by men, is very destructive, resulting eventually in such problems as prostate damage, ulcers and ruptures, and chronic incontinence and diarrhea.


Most homosexuals did not choose such an orientation and would like to change it if they could.


We have laws regulating the sale of alcohol in various ways or laws prohibiting gambling or regulations that restrict smoking. These restrictions on individual freedom are imposed for the general good. In the same way, some states, like our home state of Georgia, have laws prohibiting sodomy. Though such a law is undoubtedly unenforceable, it might be deemed justifiable in light of the health risks posed by such behavior.


First, if you are a homosexual or feel that inclination, keep yourself pure. You should practice abstinence from all sexual activity. I know this is difficult, but really what God is asking you to do is pretty much the same thing that He requires of all single people. That means keeping not only your body pure, but especially your mind. Just as heterosexual men should avoid pornography and fantasizing, you, too, need to keep your thought-life clean. Resist the temptation to rationalize sin by saying, “God made me this way.” God has made it very clear that He does not want you to indulge your desires, but to honor Him by keeping your mind and body pure. Finally, seek professional Christian counseling. With time and effort, you can come to enjoy normal, heterosexual relations. There is hope.


I could well imagine that a Christian might oppose a bill guaranteeing equal employment opportunities for homosexuals. For some jobs might be inappropriate for such persons. For example, would you want a practicing lesbian to be your daughter’s physical education teacher at school? Would you want your son’s coach, who would be in the locker room with the boys, to be a homosexual? I, for one, would not.


Every year millions of babies are destroyed through abortion. Let us raise our voices in protest against this slaughter of the unborn. Is this “right wing religious propaganda”? Hardly. It is a philosophically and scientifically informed ethical concern.


Become politically involved to change abortion laws where possible. Familiarize yourself with the issues, for example, by receiving the National Right to Life newspaper. Vote for elected officials based on their pro-life stance. Speak out against the promotion of abortion in your children’s schools or wherever the issue is raised.


If your unmarried daughter should become pregnant, do not encourage her to seek an abortion. Two wrongs will not make a right. One mistake is bad enough; do not compound it further by having her commit homicide against her own daughter or son.
