Stupid things religious people say
RE: Stupid things religious people say
The humanity of the fetus or lack of is of no consequence . Abortion is not murder it's simply it's exercising  bodily autonomy nothing more nothing less.

“No matter what men think, abortion is a fact of life. Women have always had them; they always have and they always will. Are they going to have good ones or bad ones? Will the good ones be reserved for the rich, while the poor women go to quacks?”

Play along with me here; if you believe that the humanity - thus, the human rights - of others is of no consequence, why should others be expected to believe the rights of women are of consequence?

If your argument is they aren't human, my counter position is that women are not humans - and since both of us are stating a matter of opinion with no scientific backing and both making remarks contrary to reality, the only truth is might makes right.

When "my side" has all the political power in the world and all the guns, what makes your position valid? What is the actual position other than, "nuh uh!?"

The fetuses humanity or lack of  does not override the woman's right exercising bodily autonomy. So it's humanity is irrelevant.

Woman absolutely human the fetuses humanity or lack of does not override the woman's right exercising bodily autonomy. So it's humanity is irrelevant.

What if the fetus is a girl?

The sex or gender of the fetus is irrelevant no fetus overrides the woman's right to bodily autonomy nothing or no one has the right to inhabit her body against her will.

I'm sorry, I'm just trying to get down to the absolute core of your argument then.

Do you believe that the right to bodily autonomy is fundamentally more important than the right to life? If so, then why does a woman have more inherent right to bodily autonomy than a girl as you just stated? Age? Just "luck" that she is in a position of power?

As I just pointed out no one has the right to anybody else's body the woman has the fundamental right to expel an unwanted entity within her body it has no right to be there and no one has any right to force her to keep it there  the fetuses life does not override her right to her own body it's not complicated. The facts it's alive does not give it the right to live inside her. The fact it's human does not give it the right to live inside her.

I understand; let me ask it a different way...

Why does a woman's right to bodily autonomy supersede the right to life of another human?

Why are the mother's rights more important than the rights of the child?

Because it's her body period no one has the right live inside her against her will. If the fetus grows up and ends up pregnant she/it will have the same right. It's not complicated

So then the child is committing a crime and the punishment is the death penalty. If in the future if a child commits a crime against it as an adult, it has the right to carry out the same justice.

How barbaric, especially when it's an extrajudicial killing that is also a multi-billion dollar industry.
