So question I have is there any good books that you guys would recommend on this subject? I hope what I'm asking makes sense.

Welcome aboard!

To separate fact from fiction, simply assume that magic (aka miracles, including apparitions and divine communication) is fiction and work from there.

If you want something more concrete, I'd recommend you read something that improves your critical thinking... but you can find that online.

Then read The Last Superstition: A Refutation of the New Atheism, by Edward Feser and try to figure out where he goes wrong. Do keep in mind that many thinkers and philosophers have looked at the arguments presented in this book and found nothing wrong.
He basically describes the so-called "god of the philosophers" (in a very believable way) and then says that you can use a bit of faith in the ancients (writers, but also the masses of people who influenced those writers and accompanying believers) and equate it to the Christian god. This was Thomas Aquinas (1225 - 1274) contribution to the Catholic faith and still is a strong pillar for the logic behind the belief.

Also, why is Bible better than Qur'an or Bhagavad Gita?

The "good ole" 1950's would be before my time... so - science fiction. I don't own a DeLorean. Smile

What is true, believe it or not, is the Scripture I quoted earlier, "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Hebrews 4:12, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." - John 6:63

"for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." - 2 Peter 1:21

That's the difference in principle and practice/reality between the Holy Bible and other books you mention.

The fundamental difference in belief? - "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4:12 - that is, the Lord JESUS, the CHRIST - the Living Word.

^^^^^^ This is only "evidence" that you like what you believe. It is NOT evidence that the book is reliable in any historical or scientific context.

It might be too heavy a read, but it gave me the tools I needed to examine my beliefs, Atheism: The Case Against God by George Smith. I didn't really understand what atheism was until I read it. You could probably find it as a free PDF.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

You do realise that this is the author(s) of that particular passage admitting that there's nothing backing up their religion, right? It's not that hard to spot.

I think so. I had a feeling about this one from the start. Just didn't have enough to flush them.

No, religion is like imagining that the DMV was brought into existence just for you and that anyone who goes to a different DMV should have their driving privileges revoked.

It's all fiction

So, Jesus existed according to your expert. That's indisputable.

Whether you believe His claim or not doesn't matter....

It's agreed on, and not denied that no one who has ever lived
has had: the following, the words and the miracles that Jesus has had
attributed to Him. He was profoundly; Truthful, spiritual and loving.

And none of it to Glorify Himself. Only God.

What more does one need to know?

Now, the question is: do you believe He is the Son of God?

If yes, then you are a Christian. If no, you are just denying God.
