If you don' t know how to handle guns - DON'T!
Do you see any flaw in that plan?
Flaw?
Perhaps just the teensiest bit naive?
I'll give an Australian analogy; 85% of us are urbanites living in half a dozen coastal cities. 35% of my country is named desert. A full 70% is arid and pretty much uninhabitable.
Here your average male fancies himself a 'bush expert', an heir of Crocodile Dundee if you will. He ain't, and people still die from ignorance 'out bush'.
I'd be fascinated to know how many gun owners anywhere have actually received training about gun safety.
In the rest of the US, I don't know. But in California, one has to sign paperwork stating that they have received training on safe operation of the (new) firearm that they are purchasing. That doesn't mean that they know how to safely shoot. I see people at the gun range all the time with their firearms, not being able to remove the magazine or set the safety, and requiring range officer help. They should go through a course that trains them on how to use their equipment prior to use on a public range, to a far greater depth than what they get at the gun store. Always. I worked as a range officer and trainer for about 14 years with the Boy Scouts of America. I've trained hundreds of kids and dozens of adults on range safety and how to run a gun range, in the case of the adults. I can work with the people on the range for the firearm(s) they are using, but there are millions of others who don't have that opportunity.

Yet Baldwin says he didn't pull the trigger so it's his word against the FBI who were not there. This hardly proves anything other than the FBI is convinced it had to be pulled. So you can still be wrong and those saying you were wrong can still be right.

Guns don' t just "go off". The trigger WAS pulled. It had to be.
And what is your opinion of the murder of Brandon Lee? Do you think that someone on the set also got away with the murder because the actor shooting the gun should have checked it?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I don' t know the details - but have read it was a blank gun - even those can be.dangerous and if you don' t know how to use it safely you should not handle it and you are responsible for your ignorance...

Nah it's the true sign that I'm not convinced and nothing else. And I have openly admitted I'm wrong multiple times even to an idiot like you. So you're simply lying here.

Which makes him responsible - the gun or the production? If it is the production, you would have to show negligence of how the set was run, which I think is a real possibility.
As for the gun, I've already argued that making each individual responsible, INSTEAD of the people who are paid and trained to keep gun safety on set, is just stupid. Just have everyone bring their own guns and ammo to work, and have them do their own loading - that would make things safer, right?
I don't for a minute believe Baldwin's claim that he didn't pull the trigger. It is possible he doesn't remember pulling it. The shock of what happened could easily have made the previous few seconds fuzzy. Or, he is just trying to cover his ass.
