Did he cry at all under cross? Not that I saw.

RE: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
He whined about how persecuted he was, while side eyeing the jury. It was embarrassing...if you're the kind of person who thinks that masculinity is under attack....but hey, if it keeps him out of prison..I understand.

I'd like to say I'd do it too, but that would be a lie. Whatever happened to doing what you believe in with a straight face and no feigned apologia or excuse otherwise?

That's the one thing that keeps me hopeful. The people most motivated to do fucked up shit are the least committed to the consequences and reality of the fucked up shit they do. That they're exactly the kind of weak sub human wastes of space that might break down at the mere possibility of being held to account for what they've done. Not exactly the people you want to find yourself stuck in a trench with.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. He put on some spectacle of forced hyperventilating that I think was supposed to mimic PTSD, but it was so fake that I felt embarrassed for him.

But don’t take my word for it:

My money has been on a hung jury since day one, but you never can tell about this kind of thing.

Since when does it take an AR-15 to lend medical aid or put out fires? I think the prosecution needs to drill that home during the closing argument.

My bet is the murder charges won't stick, unfortunately. But at a minimum he should get felony's on the possession and illegal transport charges. That might stick. It would also prevent him from ever owning a firearm for the rest of his life.

Did he really transport it across state lines? I know the original narrative is that his mother supplied the weapon and he took it to Wisconsin, but I thought it was established that he actually got it from a friend (Dominick Black) in Kenosha.

Apparently the judge dismissed the charge of possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18 this morning before going over 36 pages of instructions for considering self defense with the jury.

No, he arranged for a situation where it was waiting for him there, like a dead drop. Apropo to what he used it for.

Watching closing arguments today.

This judge was all over the fucking place. I don't know how he got on the bench this entire trial, but the instructions were word salad, so much so that even he stopped himself a few times to attempt to correct himself.

Prosecution is on a lunch break right now, but so far in their closing argument he did a far better job making his case from what I have heard so far. About to resume his closing arguments after lunch, hope he keeps it up.
