Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
RE: Kyle Rittenhouse Trial

This is a steaming pile of nonsense.

But of course, YOU would say this.   Dodgy

The trial was biased and Kyle is guilty.

I think the verdict was correct, given the evidence at trial and the law of the land.

Unfortunately, the law of the land is fucked up.  It is designed to protect white vigilantes.  Kyle should get years in jail just for being there with the AR15, but in the land of "guns have rights", any white person can open-carry anywhere without consequence, and confront anyone they don't like.

Once a confrontations starts, the gun-owner just has to say "they were going to kill me, so I had to shoot them".

In Kyle's case, one of the persons may have wanted to do just that, and its very hard to prove they didn't (when they are dead).

In a sane country, the presence of the weapon should've been enough to get a conviction on something.

Yes - Rittenhouse was an idiot for bringing a firearm into a flashpoint.

But then - he had lots of company. There was no shortage of idiots.

If you can' t figure out attending a riot where people are carrying firearms MIGHT be a bit dangerous - don' t expect optimal results.

And if you can' t figure out to avoid the people with guns - and actively attack them - expect even less optimal results. It' s Darwinism writ large.

Why, yes, it is kinda fucked that I can reasonably apply that clip to vigilante killings.

Interesting point.  America's loopy gun culture is hard for an outsider to grasp.

Won't comment on the verdict. I try to avoid second guessing court verdicts. This one is interesting, but I wasn't there and do not have access to the evidence the jury had.

Highly unlikely.

All sides involved will believe nothing but "The Truth".

That of course being predetermined ( by all sides ) well in advance of any proof - pro or con.

I'm willing to give Rittenhouse the benefit of the doubt.  So as usual, you're full of crap.  That comes from being a knee-jerk conservative with no critical thinking skills or brains.
