The pope is correct. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the most serious sin. Matthew 12:31-32.

That's not classified as a crime of lust. By whom? The priests that are doing it? I classify it as a crime of lust. Normal people classify it as a crime of lust.
But you do not. Care to explain that evil position?

Neglect over children in one's charge is indeed a crime. Raping them at the same time is a level higher in terms of offense. Defending and concealing the criminals is worse.
Yet here you are defending the criminals.

I've heard proddies say blasphemy against the holy spirit is the one unforgiveable sin.
The brothers taught us there is no unforgiveable sin . We were taught that the most serious sin is despair, because the person is turning his back on god's infinite love and mercy.

The brothers who taught you got it wrong, then. See the verse I posted.
On the contrary, it’s been my experience that people in despair turn to God. Churches have a hard time recruiting people who are already happy.

I don't understand blasphemy, if god doesn't like what you are saying then let him deal with it, why delegate the job to humans?
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.
Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

I love how religion is always slow on the uptake.
But it is telling, notice he said "not the most serious". He still doesn't like it. It's like saying, " I still hate you, but I won't have you killed, but you are still not equal to me."
There was a time when LGBT were arrested, and murdered, and the church was fine with that.
This is just retrofitting after the fact. Just like the church didn't "officially" on paper, recognize the heliocentric nature of the sun/earth relationship until the pope was shown that famous moon shot of earth until the 1970s.

Great point. I have long since questioned the idea that an allegedly "all powerful" "God" would need human help to defend itself.
It would be like The Terminator soliciting the help to defend him from Gary Colman standing spread eagle in front of The Terminator shouting "Don't hit my God, you might hurt him."

That would b3e because it is stated in Mark 3:28–29, Matthew 12:31–32, and Luke 12:10 and varied smattering of Hebrews. But tradionally, in the RCC, even reading the wholey babble was a sin, so what may one expect?

True enough, up until Gutenberg, then that changed slowly. Not really a problem as long as most of the flock remained illiterate. In most developed nations, universal literacy was not reached until well into the twentieth century as far as I'm aware.
At the Catholic school I attended, we were actively discouraged from reading the bible, "lest you become confused". I swear.
This was when I was 16 with some major questions about doctrine. So naturally I went home and read the whole thing from cover to cover. Being a moderately bright young chap, I soon understood why they didn't want me reading the bible. I mean, the contradictions and general bullshit in the OT, then the New Testament. Finally the Book of Revelations. To this day, I cannot understand how that got into the Canon. One explanation is that the whole thing us about The Roman Empire, and that early Xians would have understood that.
