From the article:

Quote:Facing widespread condemnation from opponents, Berlusconi released a statement on Friday (September 23) saying his views had been "oversimplified".

Not sure how you can oversimplify a simpleton, but OK.

The rain is getting started. Around Kherson, four days this next week with significant rain projected. Around Kharkiv, five days this next week. The autumn mud will be setting in soon.

These are from WWII. Remember that modern vehicles are generally heavier and rely on more tech, which the weather can also affect:

Any Russian offensive using the new conscripts will almost certainly have to wait until January freezes this muck back into something resembling passable terrain.

They already had this issue earlier this year

Makes one wonder if they are/were nothing but this impotent, paper tiger, and the entire Cold War (if it could even be called a "war") was really about nothing?

Maybe the United States, Israel and NATO should attack Russia now, while they are at a weak point??

Uhm... the neglect, corruption, incompetence etc of the past ten or so years I would say in no way reflcct the political situation over the previous thirty or so.

So... you're kind of advocating that the Western political groups just, what? Ignore all political and other social decorums and just say "Fek it! We'll just blow sheet up and call it a day."

(Yes, I'm being faceitous and not quite serious in my reply to you. Often times humor is a hard thing to pass into the written word and thence over the interwebz.)

Trying to understand how J's mind works can be puzzling at the best of times, but the fact that she thinks attacking a nuclear power could be a good idea makes me seriously concerned for her mental health. Especially since we've talked about how dire the situation of an actual nuclear war can be.

I can hold a job (just over 100K annually), don't do drugs, own a house, am current on all my bills, hold an active DoD Secret clearance, do not have a criminal record of any kind, was elected to National Honor Society, have never had a speeding ticket, have five children with my sole and only spouse of 25 years and am a former member of Mensa.

You may not like my views, but, please do not infer that my mental health is of any concern.

Sorry. You just have a tendency to reply to posts in ways that seem only tangentially related to what you're responding to.

You're entitled to your opinions. I don't see myself as you see me.

As for what's going in the Ukraine, why is the West sending them weapons? By what you've stated, Russia could, if it chose to, continue their war indefinitely, under the guise that the West could nor would attack another nuclear power. And, so, the Russian observation seems to be correct, namely, the West is simply prolonging the war.
