Who here is hoping for nuclear war?

Not me. But I am not going to get my panties all in a wad over the possibility. Hell, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow.

There are those on this thread who act like if you don't support the United States and other Western countries sending arms to Ukraine and providing military intelligence to them, then, well, you must be pro-Putin.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Putin's invasion of Ukraine was and remains an intrinsically evil act. (Consider that phrase a precise and technical moral definition, which it is.) Having said that, Ukraine's freedom is not worth my life nor war with Russia.

The West's proxy war with Russia must end.

Oh..idk, see russia invading any nato countries?  Or did you mean -other- bad behavior?  Is that -other- category even remotely relevant to the russo-ukranian war?  I mean, fuck me....but is it really that far out to dream of a world where various nations do all kinds of fucked up shit -except- invade each other?  Just one less thing, right?

I think that everyone, except for me & my idealists, are just plain nuts.  The whole Ukrainian affair is why our World needs a One World Government, whose principal power lies in a democratically elected Parliament with a World Court.  In my scheme, the World Prime Minister would be the administrative head of all governmental agencies, with the real power being with the Parliament.  The Prime Minister could, at any time, be subject to a Vote of No Confidence.

The alternative is, someday, global thermonuclear war.  Hopefully, enough humans will survive the environmental calamity to start things over, at least before the next war.

Nice scheme as far as it goes, definitely not something that ukranians can count on in the here and now.  Global tn war isn't really on the table - as the point of invading ukraine was to make russia stronger..not turn it into a glowing radioactive crater.

Russia's proxy war with the west, you must mean (except it isn't..but hey..if we're running with it, at least get ownership right)

At any rate, if you think some ukrainians freedom isn't worth your life then neither is your next door neighbors. In the world you have in mind, vlad the bad would now own ukraine even though he can;t actually take it from ukranians...and, eventaully, someone would own your neighborhood even if they couldn't take it from you or your neighbors. IMO...you've gone too far off the deep end of an otherwise credible position.

So..I put it to you again. The us will nuke mexico unless we're allowed to annex the EU. What say you?

I despise war and violence of any kind.  Hoping for such a horrific outcome is beyond despicable.
