So, just as a hypothetical, if Zelensky says he wants to genocide all of the Jews in the world, you're cool with it because it's just a hypothetical in his mind that he doesn't have the power to carry out? Is that the argument you've just made?

So President Zelensky is evil because of shit you're pulling out of your arse?

I responded to you because one of my responsibilities as an admin is to look for rules violations. I was trying to determine if awty - not you - had actually done so. This isn't white-knighting, it isn't an instance of coming to anyone's rescue.

I wouldn't want to stop ANYone from pointing out rules violations, which is why I didn't tell you to do so. This is why we have a report system, which you should consider using if you think there's been a violation. Interestingly enough, it IS against Forum policy to call out suspected rule-breaking in the public areas of the forum.

For the record, there is NOT a rule against derailing threads, unless doing so is egregious enough to fall under the trolling rule (and what awty did certainly doesn't qualify as either that or as flaming).

Noted. AWTY can call me a rapist (with no evidence) and a deranged dangerous mental case and a traitor to my country and a troll (trolling is against forum policy, so she's publicly calling me a rule breaker, which you just said is not allowed, after no provocation by me, but I'm no longer allowed to publicly call her out for doing so, and I must just sit there and take it in silence (or abandon my own principles and give in to cancel culture and report her, which I'm not going to do). Understood. Whether I think that's fair or not, I will oblige if thems the rules.

I will no longer defend the notion that I'm not a traitor to my country. Hopefully my silence doesn't speak volumes. Treason is a serious crime. Call the Canadian FBI and lock me up and throw away the keys.

Apparently, he's satan for wanting to retaliate against the nation that's spent the last year slaughtering, Raping, and Kidnapping his people. But he's the one being irrational.

It's like he doesn't understand the concept of war. You want to win and one way you win is preventing the enemy from moving men and materials into your country.

Doesn't understand the concept, has no grasp on current realities, and appears to be unaware of recent history. How much of that is genuine ignorance and how much is affectation, who knows. I'm a big believer in the notion that, if you set about to reach a stupid conclusion, all of the points of convenience along the way will inevitably be just as stupid as the desired end. That parts not necessarrily intentional, it's just an occupational hazard of committed idiocy.

Is that the argument you've just made? It's cool that he wants to drag us into WWIII, because he might not currently have the full capacity to do so, and because he's not blowing up Russian apartments, all is well? Don't think that's quite how things work in the real world.

I dare you to make less sense.

Seems like Wagner is running away

Wagner Group boss says he will pull troops out of Bakhmut

The leader of Russia's Wagner Group says he will withdraw his troops from the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut by Wednesday, in a row over ammunition.

His statement came after he posted a gruesome video of him walking among dead fighters' bodies, asking defence officials for more supplies.

Russia has been trying to capture the city for months, despite its questionable strategic value.

Yevgeny Prigozhin pinned his decision squarely on the defence ministry.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Ok I admit it. I secretly love Putin, and the Taliban, and I think Saddam Hussein was a swell fellow who I could have a beer with at the pub. Why do girls need to go to school anyways? That was sarcasm, if you couldn't tell.

This is an attempt to mask with sarcasm what is plainly obvious. But hey, tell yourself it worked and those dummies at AF can't see through it. Also, I didn't say anything about the Taliban or Saddam Hussein, so it's easy to see you're trying to cloud the issue by vomiting out a strawman.

You're a bit more transparent than you seem to think you are.

Nonsense. The neocons here would just as soon not get involved at all, and the far-right loons repeat Putin's talking points with glee. Maybe things are different up in Canuckistan.

Is there any way you could have a discussion without bringing up irrelevancies like this?

How about you talk about Ukraine itself, y'know? Oh, that's right, you won't -- because you know what Russia has done is inexcusable and you must try to deflect with red herrings left and right. I regard your refusal to address points directly as an inability to do so. And in reply, don't tell me I'm wrong -- show me, with tight reasoning and an accurate representation of facts while staying relevant and eschewing these diversionary gallops.

I've yet to see that from you thus far, and tbh I'm not holding my breath.
