People still go to work in almost all cases. No, and even if some of them work they generate far less tax revenue during crisis.

That's nice. Now ponder for a moment what it would take to keep the entire financial network of this country down for a period long enough to impact the logistics of military operations, and what you think that might require in terms of manpower. Destroy few power lines with explosive and/or drones. Why do you think it's hard?

How stupid a person has to be to believe this after watching Trump's assault on democracy -- and the support he has as a result of that assault on democracy -- is pretty fuckin' stupid. A significant number of Americans would prefer an autocracy. Trump's policies have nothing to do with authoritarianism.

Destroying a few power lines is a temporary service interruption - the kind the us goes through all over the place at all hours of the day and night without any help from terrorists.
Likewise, in ukraine, a much more complicated, well supplied, and competent plan to beat the government by depriving the citizenry of stable electricity has utterly failed. If meal team six goes around the us knocking out the juice while people are trying to watch the big game, the only thing millions of people will be rising up to do is smack them down. As in ukraine.

Actually, yes, they do go to work. At least they did in 1978 in Iran, where I got to see a revolution up-close-and-personal.

1) You ignored completely my point about keeping them down long enough to affect the military's logisitcs.
2) You'll need to destroy -- and keep inoperable -- many more than a "few power lines".
3) I think it would be hard for that prolonged shutdown to occur because first, the government has a vested interest in keeping the grid up and running, and second, I doubt your F-Troop-quality terrorists could manage a prolonged operation of the magnitude required.

lol, his opinions about the powers of the Presidency certainly do. And he has millions of supporters who agree with him.
It's almost like you're uninformed about American politics. Where are you posting from?

Repeating a claim doesn't validate it. You'll need to show your work. If you are not going to do that, don't bother replying, because without you supporting your points, I'm not going to give you any more airtime.
I find your points, such as they are, very unconvincing. You'll need to do better than this claptrap you're cobbling together here.

The ‘destroy a few power lines’ thing is pretty funny. Google informs me that there are millions of miles of transmission and distribution lines in the US.

Boru Also there is the concept that most government buildings have back up power systems and dedicated internet and communication lines

You know...more than anything, I hate how ridiculous these insurgent scenarios have become in the us and the wider reich wing mind. It's like they aren't even trying anymore.
I demand a better class of criminal! Do you know how shitty it would feel to have to shoot someone on account of how they were a fucking idiot? Let it sink in.

What Dmitry1983 is advocating for is terrorism: the threat or perpetration of violence in order to attain political aims.
Just goes to show who the most direct threat to national security is here in America: the far right.

You are obviously ignorant of what it would take to run a successful insurgency. The US armed forces would have you and yours crushed before you bought your first round of ammo, without so much as breaking a sweat.

Collin Kaepernick too? You hate black men that kneel and don't think America is perfect? I thought you served in the military to protect free speech? (I'm not American, but you get my point).
I love Canada. I love America. Loyal to my country and our allies, but like President Obama said when he was running, there are dumb wars. I think that's what he said. Don't quote me on that.
I think he was talking about Iraq and Afghanistan and he was right
