Feel ya. I'd rather be in a standard vehicle, any standard vehicle...than some fishbowl snub nose delivery truck we stole from the locals, so there's that. Vlads ordered a draft. Great idea. Airborne couldn't pull it off, I bet a bunch of potheads from back home will do much better.

It appears that two ukrainian mi-24 helicopters have struck at a fuel depot in belgorod. Where was russian air defense?

Sounds to me like Russia thought Ukraine is weak and would just fold.
How's that workin' for Putin?
They might have already cannibalized the units there in russia that could have stopped the violation of their airspace. OFC, people suggest it may be some false flag attempt, and Ukraine is cagey...but fine, if so....... the russian line is that the ukrainians are hitting them on their home soil? That's what they'd like to put out there?

Caught with their proverbial pants down, apparently. Given how mismanaged and poorly thought out the invasion was, a Ukrainian strike inside Russia - even a strike on a legitimate military target - not occurring to the Russians seems about right. Remember - Putin thought this war would be over in 100 hours. Why bother with defending the Rodina if your enemy is going be crushed in four days? Boru

Can't tell whose heloes those actually are, but they came in low, meaning below-radar, and at night, confusing visual ID.
