Indeed the presence of AZOV battalion does not justify the invasion as they lack any real significance as far-right militants whether funded by the government or simply aligned with it are not a rarity in Eastern Europe Russia included and Putin's long line of made-up reasons to justify the invasion is also irrelevant as the only one he actually believes in is that Ukraine belongs to Russia and should never have been allowed to leave.
