Why NATO doesn't give to Ukraine plan of membership?

That's important, don't you think? That has something to say about whether or not we should give them patriot missiles..don't you think? Do you know something?

As far as I'm aware, captured russian conscripts are given the oppurtunity to call home( and not raped, or shot in the knee on principle) precisely because their being well treated annihilates russian pretense and casus belli. Tell me different.

We don't all know that, btw, I think you probably reject that explicitly.  That the ends actually do justify the means or that actual history is actually written by the actual victors.

It’s hard to envision Russia winning. They could come up with something different, of course (go nuclear/chemical/biological, etc), but winning the fighting is not the same as winning the war. In a geopolitical sense, Putin has already lost the war. The weaknesses in Russia’s military have been exposed, the economy is cratered and about to get worse, Europe is more unified and anti-Russian than it has been in decades, and so on.

If it’s true that war is the extension of politics by other means, then the metric that matters most in determining ‘winning’ is if you come out of a war stronger than you went into it. The longer Russia keeps this going, the weaker they’re going to be at the end of it.

Agree. But it is a beginning of war. I think, that, Europe will proof, that Russia isn't developed

Russia doesn't appear to need anyone's help to show that they're a failing state.  That the ukranians are lending a hand is just on account of how they're a warm and inviting people like that. They heard that the russian army was having trouble getting ammo to the front, so they delivered some, gratis. You never see a broken down russian tank without a helpful farmer towing it back to the nearest chop shop. Hell, they even partnered with the russians on a highly ambitious conservation project to establish a coral reef in the black sea.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You're talking about the time, when it still was called Ruthenia and was an Austrian Crownland? Pretty long ago, I have to say. More than a 100 years.

And when the Russian pushed at the Eastern borders in 1914/15, many of the so called Ruthenians fled to Vienna. There's still quite a number of people, who have their roots in today's Ukraine. Especially among the jewish population.
