What I meant was which one of the four authors of the "Pauline" epistles are you saying is the worst?

The scholarly consensus is that Paul wrote 7 letters with the others being of unknown authorship.

That would have been the Apostle Paul; Jesus of Nazareth was fully Jewish.

It is not amiss to measure someone who is not Christian himself with the putative standards of Christianity and conclude Christian are ignorant hypocrites to venerate him.

Saint Augustine - yes

If you think like a Republican, the title of this thread could be "The BEST Christian in History" and many of the answers would be the same.

The scholarly consensus is mostly a bunch of christian apologists. In this case I don't have much meas for it.

Pope Sixtus IV, founder of The Spanish Inquisition. (Okay, cue the Monty Python sketch.)

More complicated.  The scholarly consensus is actually a negotiation between a widely referenced reductive school that only left four, and christian apologists.  Those four, written by someone..but paul in contemporary scholarship is a literary convention, explicitly so..not a man.  The character of paul as described even in just the four, or seven, is believed to be pious fiction (or fraud, if you prefer).

Granted, there is a selection effect here, just as in Islamic scholarship. Still, among the minority of nonbelieving New Testament scholars, the number 7 seems to be a near-universal consensus.
