RE: Creation Museum
I agree direct answer are important. It's a shame you didn't get them.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

I had to reply to his e-mail that was on the brochure. he told me to check with astronomers to see if he was correct. so i did and they replied that he has a point but without getting too boring they said he was wrong and this is PROVEN fact. I replied back to him telling him what they said and that what he was doing at his local church, teaching people his nonsense ( by the way this person is not an astronmer) in my opinion is criminal. the tone of his reply went from calm to insane, he started calling me names and of course said the famous "The fool has said in his heart,“There is no God" which was getting of the off subject we were talking about. At that point i figured it was best to end these e-mails. I told him , if he replied i would delete his e-mails unopened. Can you believe a person can ignore was is proven correct only to make up his own solar system models based on the Bible. like i said Christians hurt their children letting them listen to this nut at church. i gotta believe those kids grow up so confused. It will take them years to get back on track.

People still believe the Earth is flat. There is a hollow Earth theory and an expanding Earth theory as well, all long disproved, but still prmoted. Like Frank Zappa said, stupidity is the basic element of all the universe.
'The difference between a Miracle and a Fact is exactly the difference between a mermaid and seal. It could not be expressed better.'
-- Samuel "Mark Twain" Clemens

"I think that in the discussion of natural problems we ought to begin not with the scriptures, but with experiments, demonstrations, and observations".

- Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)

"In short, Meyer has shown that his first disastrous book was not a fluke: he is capable of going into any field in which he has no training or research experience and botching it just as badly as he did molecular biology. As I've written before, if you are a complete amateur and don't understand a subject, don't demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else! "

I am shocked no one complains about this museum more. Talk about being confusing for the kids that go there. In the museum they see the Flintstones and in school they are taught evolution and that dinosaurs died out millions of years earlier.Confusedhock:

Unbelievable. Never seen a museum like that. We have Noah's ark, but that is clearly religious in nature. Such blatant lies in an actual museum. Sad.

One of the saddest thing is that they call it 'science'. It's theology pretending to do science by wearing a lab coat.
Intellectual dishonesty at it's finest. [Image: nonono.gif]

Science does not support their beliefs and does very much stand against their claims, so they try to twist and turn science so it does support baseless assertions. Of course it ceases to be science once you turn it into something it's not. Science is a tool to understand the unknown with evidence, not accepting baseless claims simply because people wish it to be true. Creationists need to stop using the word 'science'. It doesn't support them and their beliefs.

Quote:"The scientific community states that Creation Science is a religious, not a scientific view, and that Creation science does not qualify as science because it lacks empirical support, supplies no tentative hypotheses, and resolves to describe natural history in terms of scientifically untestable supernatural causes.[5][6] Creation science has been characterized as a pseudo-scientific attempt to map the Bible into scientific facts."

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

The sign on the door, "pull the other one"

Oh, the irony......

I think what we need to do is build a Evolution Museum over the road from the Cretin museum to counter these idiots.
