Can you find any evidence that poor people are being compelled against their will to have abortions on a large scale by society? Or is it just you refusing to understand the difference between poor people deciding that they can't afford to raise a child and the government creating some sort of eugenics program?

Bullshit.

There are many reasons other than economic ones for seeking an abortion.

Threaten me with a good time. The idea that the poor (really, anyone) shouldn't be breeding is steadily becoming a plank of the left, sure....but to the extent that abortion is now or ever was a eugenics program, aimed at the poor, that wouldn't actually be a left wing thing. Margaret Sanger is often cast in this role as the mastermind, for example (rightly or wrongly) - but exterminating the negro..like exterminating the poor.... isn't exactly a left wing cause, is it?

It seems to me that the left would prefer that we reduced our population through birth control, not abortion. Which, I suppose makes sense, as abortion day probably isn't anyone's idea of a good time. Pretty shit, really. Personally, I think abortion is great for thee but not for me. I'll gladly welcome any trimming of a world my many kids are going to have to compete for resources in. Saves them the trouble of offing a full grown human being in the mad max future the clerics on the court have in mind for us. That's just me speaking as a parent, unencumbered by niceties and social conventions and silly moral claims which must all be for naught anyway, since they suggest that other people get to choose this stuff for themselves - which just must be wrong, somehow.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Absolutely disgusting! A kitten has a brain and a nervous system. Whether certain fetuses suffer their own destruction is debatable (we spend our first several months in an unconscious state); slowly murdering a fully awake kitten via live vivisection is completely different than the second or two destruction of a developing fetus as compared to the anguish that a fully conscious biological woman will experience in giving birth to a child whom she does not want to carry to term.

Here it is! The moment we've been waiting for the Republican plan laid out

Quote:Marjorie Taylor Greene Says God Will Provide for Pregnant Women

"If you are pregnant, God made you completely capable to be a mother, and he will provide for you, as you strive in life and become a mother," Greene tweeted in her response. "Motherhood will be the most incredible journey of your entire life, bringing you continuous joy you've never known."

"Women, God made you. He loves you more than anyone you have ever known can possibly love you," Greene said in another tweet. "He never wanted you to be hurt by anyone. That was never his plan. Your pain and suffering is a result of the devil's schemes. The devil hates you."

Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich tweeted on June 24, the day the Court issued its opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case while also overturning Roe, that the U.S. lacks universal health care, universal child care and paid family and medical leave. He also noted that the U.S. has one of the highest maternal mortality rates among wealthy nations.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Nothing says "small government" quite like sticking a law straight up a woman's vagina.

If the asshole NRA terrorists want to claim "The only thing that stops" garbage, fine, then shove a handgun up her vagina so the baby can defend itself.

I seriously do not recognize the Country I grew up in now. I've always accepted politics can be nasty, but the past years since Trump wanted revenge for Obama poking fun at him at the WH press conference dinner, all the way through his scapegoating gaslighting vilifying anyone and everything that he didn't like, even for the most petty reasons, and falsely playing victim, all the way through to even today, combine that vile shit with 6 fascist judges and this rises to earth shattering record breaking shitfuckery that I have never witnessed in my entire life. My skin is crawling like a victim of Jason who cant seem to find a way out of the dark lake house.

I was devastated when trump won the first time, but even though he is out of office, the fucker still yields power and backed by a woman hating 6 on our highest court, I am beyond devastated, I am genuinely terrified. We are one needledick microscopic shroom head away from being a full on Authoritarian Christian fascist theocracy.

Even with more funding for adoption, there still will be a vast majority of unwanted babies never to get adopted. And that money will not come with secular rules. Just like "school choice" it will go to a majority of Christian adoption charities. They will not let LGBT adopt, and they sure as hell would not let atheists adopt.

They have also no damned intent on funding family stability after a birth even if the parents decide to keep it. Once the baby pops out the GOP has constantly said, "fuck you, you are on your own.'

All this abortion ruling will do is make abortions far more dangerous in the states where they are banned or absurdly and dangerously restricted.

Nothing good will come from this draconian ruling. It isn't about pro life, it is merely about power over women based on an old book of mythology in the age of male patriarchal dictator kings.

The only real plan pro-lifers have to help these babies they "saved" is to expect people to hold to a very unrealistic sexual standard. Some people might be okay with not having sex before marriage, but bear in mind: the same scene from Spotlight where the expert explained that 6% of all Catholic priests offend against children pointed out that half of all priests break their laws of celibacy (mostly in more normal ways).  And priests are men who made a solemn oath to be celibate, and are usually well past their sexual prime. If they can't do it, I can see no reason to expect that horny teenagers will all abstain. The closest thing I've seen to a solution for them is to just marry and not divorce. Fun fact: this is the #4 most popular post on r/prolife and this should speak volumes about how much work they've put into fixing the problem:

They have a bullshit idea of how things should be, and if they don't actually pan out, well, I guess those are the breaks. Just as long as you don't have an abortion or end a relationship.

Rather telling is this little ad:

Somehow, it never occurred to the makers of this ad that maybe men like these, the kind that balk at the responsibilities of parenthood, or even the sort of responsibility where they're not trying and failing to be the next PewDiePie probably wouldn't make good parents. Or that making them do so would probably end up making life worse for everyone, including the baby you're trying to keep alive.

These men are so full of shit. Nobody is saying a parent, female or male should ditch their responsibility after a baby is born. In America everyone already knows, and rightfully expects that you are, at a minimum, responsible financially for that child or children until they are 18. These bullshit arguments are simply manufactured by right wingers pretending to be "hip" and trying to pretend they are the real heros.

These idiots do not understand that there is no such thing as a perfect utopia, yet they stupidly try to chase one. This isn't about life, this is simply another passive aggressive way to attempt to control crotches that do not belong to them.

These idiots might as well be in the Taliban and force their wives to wear bee keeper suits.

And a special FUCK YOU, to these assholes. I know what it is like to have a father who abandoned me, and adoptive father who physically punched me hard all the time to punish me. FUCK THESE ASSHOLES.

These idiots want to treat raising a child like Walmart run's it's delis. They want you to run everything as if the conditions are always optimal and you have the resources you need and the staff you need. The average Walmart deli should have up to 6 employees to run the deli efficiently during max hours. But I have heard stories where the poor workers who work there that is almost never the case. The are constantly short staved, they get run physically into the ground, they stress out because the goals are impossible, they are forced to neglect sanitary procedures because they don't have time to clean things, and still get blamed for things that are simply impossible to do under those conditions.

I know that all too well myself. I worked for other giant corporations too, and I know exactly how they feel.

Now if these "dads" really fucking cared, they would or should know, that not everybody has a planned pregnancy. Not everyone starts off their parenting with livable wages and the resources to be at home at a good standard level that most people in the middle and working class do not have, and is shrinking astronomically year in, year out.

You stress a population out like that, you are always going to have more social problems, such as anxiety, anger, domestic disputes, alcoholism, addictions and abandonment. And that isn't just a human with a penis, even girls and women will go into a pregnancy with all the good intent in the world, refuse to give the kid up for adoption regardless of the circumstances and end up making things worse instead.

These idiots seem polite in this video, but they are wolves in sheeps clothing. They to me are like the far left animal rights activists who are willing to burn you at the stake, even if your only crime is realizing you got in over your head with a pet. You scare the shit out of someone who knows they have a problem, you are not going to give them the confidence to ask for help when they need it.

This bullshit "buck it up" crap is vile. It is better to always let people know it is ok to have problems and ask for help when you need it. You cannot expect a middle class or poor person to parent in the same manor as someone who is rich and can afford to hire help when they need it. To say otherwise is to vilify lower classes and that is not compassion, that is class warfare.

To that, I say that women (and men) have a right and are entitled to have pleasure in their lives.
