Currently reading part three of the Super Powereds series by Drew Hayes. A fresh, if not novel, take on the super-hero genre. In this case, it's the elite training available from colleges and the story of a particular class of students as they navigate the ever more difficult challenges leading to graduation, and super-hero status. Fun and engaging reads, so far.

Operation Barbarossa and Germany’s defeat on the Eastern Front by David Stahel. it analyzes at what point in 1941 the German army lost the strategic initiative even while superficially retaining a dominating operationally upper hand.

Finished The Lords of Discipline by Pat Conroy this morning. I thought I had read it before but I seemed to have missed more of his books than I thought. Nearly twenty hours on Audible. For a while I was getting a little bored but it picked back up and twisted into an ending I didn't expect. Overall, I liked it.
I still have several books in my library and several credits available. Now to figure out what to listen to next. I may knock out a couple much shorter books before I go back to a marathon read (listen).

I'm currently doing a re-read of the Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks. Fantasy with a lot of political intrigue, which is a refreshing change from the political idiocy we see day to day these days.

Since @
Ravenshire mentioned the author and series, I purchased the first book.

(Bold mine)
Which explains why it’s fiction.

Reading the beginning of this book, it is interesting how popular fiction has deviated gramatically.
