The Absurd GOP

I think I'm really beginning to understand how conservatives support Republicans. They seem to focus only on a single issue that they like as being represented.

An example is the black woman supporting DeSantis political ad I've recently seen. Her sole reason for supporting the man? He's tough on deportation because a twice deported illegal killed her son in a car accident.

Talk about absurd.

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene: "Looks Clear" That U.S. Sabotaged Nord Stream Pipelines

"It does not appear that Putin would benefit in any way from blowing up the Nord Stream pipeline, especially since Russia is the one that profits from delivering natural gas to Germany and the rest of Europe through the pipeline," she told the "Real America" with Dan Ball program

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It's gonna be some crazy take on jesus or brown people as a general rule.  That and they're all domestic terrorists now, I hear.

I look forward to the day when the only time Greene is in the news is when she bites one of her prison guards.

Doug Mastriano proposes ‘pole dancing’ ban in schools

Election result-denying GOP gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano said if elected, he’s going to be dealing with critical race theory and pole dancing, which he feels are issues when it comes to education in Pennsylvania.

“On day one, the sexualization of our kids, pole dancing, and all this other crap that’s going on will be forbidden in our schools,” the 58-year-old New Jersey native said at a taped campaign event posted by Business Insider.

He also railed against “graphic, pornographic books” that he claimed are shelved in elementary schools. According to Business Insider, Mastriano offered no examples of pole dancing curriculum in his speech.

Ganahl Falsely Claims That Kids Are ‘Identifying as Cats … All Over Colorado & Schools Are Tolerating It’

“Yeah, kids identifying as cats. It sounds absolutely ridiculous, but it’s happening all over Colorado and schools are tolerating it. It’s insane. What on earth are we doing? Knock it off, schools. Put your foot down. Like, stop it. Let’s get back to teaching basics and not allow this woke ideology, ideological stuff, infiltrate our schools. And it is happening here in Colorado. It’s why I moved from Boulder Valley to Douglas County, because it was happening in my kids schools four years ago.”

Ganahl joins Republican Colorado Springs House Scott Bottoms and U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) in repeating patently ridiculous — and false — claims about furries in public schools. The outrage over students who are a part of the niche subculture that embraces anthropomorphic art and cosplay — and is predominantly LGBTQ — stems from remarks made by Nebraska Sen. Bruce Bostelman, a conservative Republican, who repeated false claims about furries using litter boxes in schools during a televised debate on a bill intended to help students who have behavioral problems.

Thank goodness there are those sensible people in your government working diligently to address the plague of pole dancing box-shitters destroying your educational system.

DeSantis Takes Credit For Biden's Gas Tax Credit

On October 3, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis celebrated an upcoming gas tax holiday in his state and tweeted out how in the month of October, working class Floridians will be saving money at the pump.

Unbeknownst to DeSantis supporters and Fox News viewers, this gas tax holiday was paid for by President Biden and the Democratic Party's passage of the American Rescue Plan. That very important detail somehow didn't find its way into Gov. DeSantis' remarks.

As our very informed readers know, every Florida Republican voted against the ARP.

I don’t see how it couldn’t. How are the kids supposed to do their sums while gyrating round a pole covered in kitty litter?
