The Absurd GOP
RE: The Absurd GOP
...and restaurants still can't find any waiters who want to work?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I want them to all run and split the GOP into so many factions that it can't get anyone elected.

Watching them eat their own should be entertaining.

You are so mean.

Eisenhower. Even dead, he’d make a better president than that rogues gallery.

DeSantis’s office says he will boycott NBC, MSNBC over Andrea Mitchell question on Black history

The Hill

Quote:Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will boycott media appearances on NBC News and MSNBC shows, according to his press team, until one of the network’s star reporters apologizes for a question she posed about the governor’s education policies.

And who's the snowflake, now?  Hehe Someone questions him and he's going to boycott? He'd be a triple bastard to anyone whom he doesn't agree with if he's elected to president, just like the guy he has his nose up the ass of. Fuck him.

There are certainly troubling consequences for notions like self determination in deciding that the us either lives together or dies apart - but we already answered them with a civil war and we've done absolutely nothing since then to make any split more tenable today.  We're all stuck on the boat with the lunatics, and if we're seriously considering sawing off a part of the boat to solve that problem, there's a simpler and at least equally unethical alternative.  There are prison camps all over this country.  We have a huge military.  It's a funhouse mirror view of the world, I think, to imagine that giving people over to yall qaeda is somehow better than dealing with them like the terrorists they are.

As I said the whole resources situation makes it even easier. Who are the red states with all these resources going to sell to if not their neighbours, who probably would own the companies doing the extracting anyway.

None of that will change. It will still be the case that resources from red areas end up in blue areas. The people doing the work will have fewer (if any) labor protections and the people consuming the resources will pay more for them. In all likelihood, the companies will be headquartered for tax purposes in the red areas..but the owners and shareholders will live in the blue areas along with their consumers.

It's more of the same that got us to this point...miners in redneckistan keeping the lights on for coastal suburbia. Just more expensive for you and more cruel for them. Honestly, the entire bit is ridiculous, right down to the belief that the relatively higher taxes in blue areas are a wholly domestic phenomena to blue areas. Sure, I suppose blue areas could look elsewhere. They could exploit more people in the third world or in their own inner cities...for example. Six of one, half a dozen of another. A national divorce is good for no one, and blue areas would be crushed by it just the same as red. The only real difference being that the blue areas have more to lose. The confederates lost. There's no consolation prize. No sawing off a chunk of the us and handing it to them because they're all up in their feels about it more than a century later. They can self deport, or go grab their guns again. The deep red town I live in will never not be the us of a, and I think it's ridiculous to negotiate it away from afar for fantasies of wealth or convenience.

Makes me wonder if the author of this article just woke up from a coma or something.  She just proved she is crazy and stupid.  No, I believe that shipped sailed some time ago.

Of course there's this newest little gem - 'Also this week, Greene was just one of two members of Congress who vthe loss of life in the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, while also condemning the Assad regime in Syria.'

Well, I think there's this journalism rule where they're not allowed to refer to the subject as crazy since the journalist isn't a licensed professional. Also, a real licensed professional is going to be too chickenshit, without having proper sessions, I mean, to refer to the loon as is.
