The Absurd GOP
RE: The Absurd GOP
Just what we need here.

Quote:Following Donald Trump, Jerry Seinfeld’s screen parents and other ageing and querulous New Yorkers, Sean Hannity has moved to “the free state of Florida”, full-time.

“I’ve been threatening now to do this for quite a while,” the 62-year-old Fox News prime-time host said on his iHeartRadio show on Tuesday, “but we are now beginning our first broadcast from my new home and that is in the free state of Florida. I am out. I am done. I’m finished.”

"Free" state of Floriderp, unless you want certain library books or the ability to discuss certain topics in school.

Back when the chump was running the first time, "1984" kept coming to mind. We're (some of us) living in that post-truth world.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I’d be careful if I were a geriatric moving to Florida saying shit like out done and finished.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

House Democrats just released a report showing Donald Trump’s businesses received AT LEAST $7.8 million from foreign entities when he was president—the exact same crime they are accusing President Biden of without evidence. But radio silence from Republicans so far.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

As always, the P in GOP stands for projection.

The guy who voted against stem-cell research is getting a stem-cell transplant. I guess his religious principles only count when they affect other people's lives.

Quote:House Majority Leader Steve Scalise will undergo a stem cell transplant, his office announced on Friday, which is expected to keep him out of Washington and working remotely until February.

In August 2023, the Louisiana Republican announced that he had been diagnosed with a form of blood cancer and had started treatment.

For the rebulicants, unless you are a fetus, or you are old enough, and wealthy enough to be of use to them, you don't exist. Just like jebus preached.
