I don't mind paying A FAIR share of taxes. ....
BUT if there is a 'concession, tax break, refund, or compensation' for my fiscal activity I would be a moron if I didn't take it. What makes me angry is that your average joe blow is so accustomed to just paying and paying that he then swings the other way and just refuses to pay anymore.
No balance and very limited access to the info out there where a household can strike that balance...imho

My fair share of taxes is precisely zero, so no: i don't mind paying them. I don't use fire departments or police, as I can defend my own house thank you very much (I don't need you to defend your house which I call mine, government). Still: you offer me an emergency service that costs me little. I'll pay for that, but I won't consider it taxes. I will consider it as I am hiring you, and if you fail I will have you first killed and second replaced
