Supernatural and Atheism

Read a few of Bel's posts closely.  There is almost always an attack on the members of the forum.  Let's not pretend to be defending an innocent.

"It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia"  A comedy show.  Do they not have Google where you live?

I don't watch TV or Netflix or any of that crap.

Pay the soul toll? Pay the troll toll? I think maybe you’re lying to me.

Not lying, "soul toll" just came to mind because it rhymes.

Note that the soul is still unknown.
Also, some believe that the universe has a great spirit that supports nature.
This means that the whole world, that is, all the creatures of the world, all the galaxies together and apart from each other, have some kind of knowledge and self-awareness.
If we liken the soul to the software in the hardware, when the software dies, it leaves the hardware but is not destroyed.

Not believing God is the creator, but considering the world and all existances as self-awareness, what sub-category do you classify?

There is a need to reject the notion of the supernatural and that reason is the preservation of reason itself.  Supernatural means something above or outside of nature which means outside of the laws of nature.  The most fundamental law of nature is the law of identity which states that to exist is to be something, in particular, to have a specific set of attributes.  So to be something above or outside of the law of identity would mean to be nothing, in particular, to have no specific set of attributes, i.e., not to be.  So the whole notion of the supernatural is incoherent, i.e., incompatible with reason.

Atheists like to stick to science except when it's convenient not to.

That's probably more of a recognition that a given person sees science as being somehow opposed to their own beliefs, than any comment on The Atheist.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

How many atheists say that a person can be a man or woman based on how they feel? Or that a man can give birth to a child. These views are out of line with science. It's all about feelings.
