Yeah, that's Isaiah 4:2, the exception I mentioned earlier.
So it seems that Dante's use of pride is consistent with the Bible's.

it seems to me nothing could be more extravagantly prideful than religious faith. Faith in effect says you are give the real truth because you are you, and because you are you you are privileged to just know the truth with more certainty and reliability than any method which have actually proven to work.
if you don’t want to be obscenely stupidly overweening in your uninformed pridefulness, then jettison your faith.
