Someone who's worried that something may exist can't be certain that it doesn't exist. Convinced, not certain.
That "certain" thing is an idiocy other ignorant theist also are obsessed with.
The only thing "certain" is permanent death, and according to Christianity, not even that.

Which is why Jesus says that it is, over and over and over...

So we are proof-texting now? Try James 2:19.

Pretty sure 3:16 was about believing in Jesus, not believing that there's one God.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

In addition, we're to believe an epistle over Jesus' own words? That renders Christianity instantly dismissible. So, sure, let's do that.

Jesus' words do not exist, as he did not write anything, and the earliest accounts of his sayings were written a generation after his death and were the product of individuals who were writing in a language that Jesus did not speak none of whom were eyewitnesses to his life.

I think Jesus is a myth based on John the Baptist and the like, and not at all historical. I was just ribbing a Bible thumper.

I think that he was historical, but, he was a nut, a religious loon, whom everyone who was literate ignored, appealing only to the lower, illiterate classes, all of whom, like Jesus, believed in a flat Earth. As with John the Baptist, whom he knew, he was an apocalyptist who, after going to Jerusalem at the behest of some of his followers, encountered the Romans, who knew exactly how to deal with apocalyptists, and they did so without so much as an historical footnote.

Just to be absolutely clear, I did specify intellectual belief because this is a case of semantic ambiguity. Kind of like faith, in theology, is generally understood to imply some level of trust.
