Movies you would recommend to your enemies

RE: Movies you would recommend to your enemies
Hey, it's only three hours

This movie has Al Pacino so it may lure you to think it is a real movie (unlike Pauly Shore or Bible movies) and as you start watching it you also notice that scenes look like you are watching an actual movie, but then you realize that you are dying inside as it is one of the most boring and plotless movies ever. So that's why nobody ever talks about this movie although it is a Pacino movie from the 70s.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The movie has been described, by Robert Ebert and Time Out London, as one of the greatest war movies of all time.

I know someone who lived through (barely) the firebombing of Osaka, and she says the movie is the only accurate depiction of war she has ever seen.

I find it fascinating that Studio Ghibli portrays many of their Japanese characters with wide, round eyes.  Not a hint of epicanthic fold.
I've watched dozens (if not hundreds) of anime, and, in my experience, this is common. For one thing, old Disney cartoons, where wide, round eyes are the default, were a foundational influence on anime.
As for the lack of epicanthic folds, that also seems to be a default for anime. Case in point: Death Note.

The Netflix adaptation is easily the worst adaptation, but the one thing it has going for it: Nat Wolff looks a Hell of a lot more like Light Yagami than ANY of the Japanese actors.
Comparing the Universal Oneness of All Life to Yo Mama since 2010.

Hi,

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you….” (Mt. 5:44)

-

"Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate."

One's enemies are one's best friends, actually.
/they will not leave you alone/

It is the era of Pisces (the sign opposite to Virgo). Before that was the era of Aries. "Historical" figures, philosophies, ... are PR.

It's pretty likely that atheists don't believe in that astrology nonsense, either.

We seem to be a particularly rational folk, but it's not a requirement.  The only thing all atheists share is a lack of belief in deities.
Disappointing theists since 1968!
