Principal forced to resign over Michelangelo's David visits sculpture
A US principal forced to resign after parents complained about an art lesson showing one of the world's most famous sculptures has visited the masterpiece.
The educator was asked to resign from the Tallahassee Classical School in Florida last month after less than a year on the job.
Local media reported that Ms Carrasquilla did not know the reason she was asked to leave, but believed it was related to the complaints over the lesson.
One parent complained the Renaissance era material was pornographic and others said they wanted to know about the lesson before it was taught.

Does this mean that Italian children are damaged since they see dick and balls on stone statues of David and other ones every day?

You know I was in Florence and on the square where the original David stood stands the exact replica, and they actually sell postcards in stall shops not just with David but just with his dick and balls, as you can see in the photo (not taken by me but I quickly found it on the net)

Unlike the Taliban, the GOP doesn’t actually seem to have some specific ultra-conservative position which is its end goal. Rather its world view seems to be one should always be more conservative today than yesterday. So it might be soon that GOPstan would be Taliban ruled afghanistan writ larger still.

if we are in his image then one must wonders why a unitary eternal god would have arms and legs, to say nothing of penis and scrotum.

I find it funny that not long ago right-wingers were screeching about how Hyper Conservative Muslim immigrants were offended by Renaissance art in Italy. They have come full circle.
