Woman - Life - Freedom Movement in Iran 2.0

RE: Woman - Life - Freedom Movement in Iran 2.0
Sorry, I don’t know how to do that. (if you pm me on that I’ll try to do it in the future Smile )

I’m going to debate a video that has been in social media for while know. Just look at the guy on the left-lower corner of the screen.

What I see there is total blindness. Just a pure-ego being that is entirely absorbed by a group of dogmas and belief systems that

1) Lacks all mean of critical thinking, is unable to relativize any event, is unable to debate, talk about his thoughts, beliefs, conviction etc. and does not even consider the possibility of being wrong. That’s a typical ego based attitude (in almost all religious teachings). And that a typically wrong type of attitude because it fails to approve of our human condition which is by definition (and within any true philosophical system) small and limited.

2) Is definitely not being “a nice guy”. People that I see as being spiritual are usually very nice persons. Also, it’s usually the only thing we are remembered with after we die. Some are remembered as “He/She was a very nice person” and others end up being forgotten altogether.

So I’m not here to annoy anyone with my not entirely scientific attitude. But to remind people of some basic issues that are not to be completely excluded the moment you declare yourself to be a “this” or “that” Smile

On the positive side, he was immediately and physically ejected from the shop by other Iranian men.

Things aren’t the way they were before the death of Jina Mahsa Amini. The picture below is from 5 days ago and were taken in Teheran.

But there is deeper social / political issue here. Not real power, but Ego-based power is a fear based issue. You may check Machiavelli or Thomas Hobbes (The Leviathan) to understand this. And it is usually people who are ready to do the most hideous things who end up getting this type of power. Yet this power usually ends when people are brave enough to say “I choose not to be afraid of you anymore”. And this happened in Berlin in November 1989, It happened in the civil rights movement between 1954-1968, in the anti-apartheid movement between 1960-1994 and so on and so forth.

Frankly, I didn't quite get what this topic is about.

But as I read through, this part stopped me:

Quote:And: I think that’s what we have to start doing here (I mean in Turkey). Because truly. There is simply no getting rid of them. This Political İslamist push in Turkey started in the mid 90’s. I remember discussing our fears on that when I was a 13 year old boy. Now I’m a 43 year old and they will not go. 30 years later, I don’t know what will happens, where I will be, yet they will still be here in some way still messing with my grandchildren or whatever.

And that’s why the French have this principle of “Laicité”. In France you cannot wear any religious sign or symbol in the public domain (including in schools).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_law...%20schools.

It’s not that the founders of the French republic were pure atheists (most free-masons are not atheists). It’s just that given these picture here, you cannot let the clergy or other religious leaders do whatever they want. I’m not saying that this is the state of all religious leaders. I’m saying that all religious leaders have this potential within them. So we simply have to be vigilant.

There was no "political Islam push" in Turkey. There was an Islamic Caliphate that fell under the rule of "Committee of Union and Progress" party:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Committee_...d_Progress

That party was extreme, mad, it even commit   genocides against the Armenian, Greek, and Assyrian peoples as part of a broader policy of ethnic erasure during the late Ottoman period.

It was anti-Islam, and prosecuted Muslim women who followed their religious customs and wear the Hijab.

Turkey was liberated from that party when Erdogan defeated the remnants of its agents and socks who controlled the Turkish government and military.

It was just then that Turkish women got their freedom again to do and wear whatever they want: either a slutty dress or a Hjab.

No more extreme atheistic rule like what we see today in China and North Korea.

I don't know how this is related to Iran though, Iran is a different cup of tea: it's an extreme Shiite government like Saudi Arabia in the terms of rights and freedoms.

It's the Turkish "Committee of Union and Progress" but in reverse.

A video will be better:

It seems the Iranians started to kick the extreme religious government, Saudi fucks realized that Wahhabism is sinking them so they abandoned it, so as Iranians as it seems (they're abandoning the twelver cult).

That guy is just a bastard, a motherfucker, extremist too. He is no different from the Wahhabi who beats women for wearing fashion, or from the white supremacist stripping women off their Hijab in Europe.

Judging only from the appearances all of these people seem to be in a far better situation than me but as cliché as it may sound I have to say this:

If you are in a place in which freedom of thought and religion is being guaranteed by the constitution since 1776, 1789, or at least since the beginning of the last century that is not something trivial or unworthy. Like, you should not let anybody tell you that (for instance) economics is more important than that because it is not.

Although I am a supporter of greater equality and a better share of resources between both states and individuals, if you are able to gather in a public place and do a prayer or an act of worship in any way you like and even go to extremes like this for instance:

https://youtu.be/yXq835Omy7c?t=44

I think this has to be maintained and protected somehow. Because what the republican adventure in my country is telling me and also what some events in the US is telling me is that, someone can come and create something really beautiful. But what has been done by man can also be undone by other man. Somebody can come and create the exact opposite because he / she believes that things should be the way they have always been. Like a group of aristocrats who are constantly struggling for even more power and more wealth and the rest of us being thankful for merely being alive (and - let’s not kid ourselves - that is truly the way things have been for centuries).

So even something as simple as giving people a voice. Like being able to change our governance without people having to die in their thousands, I mean, these are valuable things right? Smile

I didn't quite understand what you wanted to say.
So I'll repeat my comment in simple, easy to reply to points:

1-Turkey did not have an "Islamic push"; rather it underwent a "coup d'état" led by the famous yet infamous Committee of Union and Progress; ending the Islamic Ottoman reign and starting a new reign.

2-That party led Turkey to extremism, madness, it even commit   genocides against the Armenian, Greek, and Assyrian peoples as part of a broader policy of ethnic erasure during the late Ottoman period.

3-Iran is different from Turkey and both states have no relationship with each other. The main difference is Turkey is Sunni, Iran is Shiite.

4-Iranian people got suffocated by extreme Shiite rulers; such as the man you shared in your video in this post.

5-Iran Shiite regime = Saudi Arabian Wahhabi regime.

Yes but I've already been served once with that same very dish. Do you remember? Smile
