U.N. investigation has established that the 22 years old Mahsa Amini’s death was due to “physical violence in the custody of state authorities” that was itself unlawful (because her hair was still covered enough in the way it is stated in Iranian law). The U.N.’s “crime against humanity” allegation is based on “widespread and systematic attack against women and girls, and other persons expressing support for human rights," and on the fact that "Some of these serious violations of human rights thus rose to the level of crimes against humanity." https://www.yahoo.com/news/mahsa-aminis-...35139.html Here is the Article 7 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (The current Legal / Political definition of a Crime Against Humanity):
Quote:‘crime against humanity’ means any of the following acts when committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack:
Murder;
Extermination;
Enslavement;
Deportation or forcible transfer of population;
Imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty in violation of fundamental rules of international law;
Torture;
Rape, sexual slavery, enforced prostitution, forced pregnancy, enforced sterilization, or any other form of sexual violence of comparable gravity;
Persecution against any identifiable group or collectivity on political, racial, national, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender as defined in paragraph 3, or other grounds that are universally recognized as impermissible under international law, in connection with any act referred to in this paragraph or any crime within the jurisdiction of the Court;
Enforced disappearance of persons;
The crime of apartheid;
Other inhumane acts of a similar character intentionally causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or to mental or physical health.
a) Check b) Not sure but the 15 year old Armita Gerewand who collapsed in the metro in October 2023 was of Kurdish origin. The “Islamist” regime is not a great fan of its Kurdish and/or Arab minorities. In fact it is a very racist regime as well. c) Not really: but they are forcing people to wash dead bodies as a form of punishment d) Not that I know of e) Check f) double check g) They are practicing gender apartheid + there are many cases of rape and sexual violence especially against Kurdish minorities. h) The Suni Baluchistan region is the poorest region of Iran in which the Suni Minority is being repressed for their identity. + Iranian Kurds are also living in a constant state of martial law and are also being strongly repressed by the IRI Regime. i) CHeck j) Check (they are practicing gender apartheid) k) Check. One example: The human right activist Narges Mohammadi (Who has received a Nobel prize in 2023 for her struggle for human rights)) "suffers from severe health issues, including serious heart and lung conditions, placing her health at great risk + is being denied medical access because she is not wearing the mandatory hijab,"
Still: I like the old definition of “Crime Against Humanity”. To me these are violations of human rights pure and simple.
Islamic totalitarianism is reaching a whole new level. Most societies today have abandoned the death penalty. The Number of execution in the US in 2023 is 24 (23 male and one female). For Iran that number is 854. Some 80 of these were under 18 at the time of the protests in October 2022 when they were arrested. Some 100 people have already been executed in 2024. Many people are also being tortured to death and/or are disappearing in a prison system that is everything but civilized. https://www.yahoo.com/news/iran-prisons-...00390.html The madness that is happening here is this: Our State / Us = Islam = God. So I have the right to kill and/destroy you for I am doing this for Islam = God. This is already revolting if you are a person with no specific religious affiliation. It’s a bigger problem if you are religious in some way. The Arabic term for this is “Shirk” (means worshiping of Idols / worshipping something that is other than God himself).
Islam is Shirk شرک.
Because, Mohammad by Force, has provided his idea as rule and law of God.
For example imagine, you have a company, and on a land i by force claim are your represntion, therefor i have been bacome your copartner by lie and by force.

The I.R.I. regime is completely blocked in every front. More than 100 people have been hanged this year and still the people are protesting. That’s because they cannot afford living costs. Homelessness is growing. The middle class has been completely eroded. And the only thing the ruling class is doing is to support its proxies and sell oil to China. Because the economy of the country is completely opaque, they are able to sell themselves to less informed people as “a stable government”. Which is anything but true. It’s not even a puppet of China (as Russia is increasingly becoming). They are mostly set to become “the stick of China”. As a Middle Eastern power who has to upset the Americans and the Collective West. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/iran-...29483.html Above: Shirk / Blasphemy – Idolatry is when you create idols to replace God. If you try to replace God with a totalitarian state that is also included into the definition of “shirk”.
The problem with an approach that excludes logical thinking and a critical mindset, in all areas, this is true in scientific research too, If you are just parroting the ideas of someone else, without fully understanding the argument that is presented for yourself, you might end up making really huge mistakes. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/pete...p_catchall In the article above: 1) Toomaj Salehi is not that good. He isn’t even set to be the Elvis of the Middle East or anything like that. If they were to just let him be no one would even talk about him within a year or so 2) Their understanding of “Corruption on Earth” is false. I am no expert either. But if I am correct about that part of the Holy Book, there is only a section that allows us to follow and neutralize entities like propagandists, spies, agitators etc. ( The Turkish term is “Bozguncular” / My translation of the term is “Those who want to spread chaos”). So it’s very problematic. 3) We are not allowed to harm the living. Technically, not even an ant actually. If there is a cockroach, we believe it’s better to pick it up and let it out of the window unless we really have to kill it. My opinion is that they have messed up on all of these issues very badly.
I need to self-correct a little bit here. As I said before I am not an expert on the subject. But in terms of what the Quran is saying there are several things that need to be known when talking about a mistranslation like “corruption on earth”: There is no such thing and this young man Toomaj Salehi has nothing to do with any of this anyway.
1) There are verses on the “Musfidun” the term in my language is “Bozguncu” (if anyone cares). The good English translation according to me is “Those who spread chaos” / “Those who destroy positive works that are designed to help mankind in general”. To me this is important because in a Course in Miracles it says “Do not underestimate the vengeance of the Ego”. We live in a world where there are forces that are not only harming us, but are out there to destroy us if they get the chance. We can think of right wing extremism. We can think of Big-Oil digging out even more oil and gas while our climate is rapidly changing. We can think of political Islam and / or Chinese-Russian style authoritarianism trying to destabilize the rest of the world to gain more influence (Like the Russian Law they recently voted in Georgia for instance). – You name it – And in a religious context I found a good translation of verses talking about the “Musfidun”: https://www.searchtruth.com/search.php?k...anslator=5 It’s not related to young man making songs about oppressive / tyrannical regimes that are based on lies and misperceptions. 2) There is al Maidah 32 and 33: https://quran.com/al-maidah First there is this famous statement: “That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life—unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land—it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.1” (All terrorists should read this before going into action in the name of “Islam”) Than it says: “˹Although˺ Our messengers already came to them with clear proofs, many of them still transgressed afterwards through the land. Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides, or exile from the land.” https://quran.com/al-maidah This is very violent indeed. Again it talks about “Those who spread mischief / those who create trouble / those who are transgressing”. There is this idea of “warning”, it says “After our messengers came to them with clear proofs”. Then there is death, crucifixion, exile. I still believe this is very violent. I think this has to do with the early days of Islam when the Prophet and his believers were trying to maintain themselves among rather savage tribes who were very hostile to his beliefs and his ways of doing things. 3) There is Al-tawbah 5. “As for the polytheists who have honoured every term of their treaty with you and have not supported an enemy against you, honour your treaty with them until the end of its term. Surely Allah loves those who are mindful ˹of Him˺.” “But once the Sacred Months have passed, kill the polytheists ˹who violated their treaties˺ wherever you find them,1 capture them, besiege them, and lie in wait for them on every way. But if they repent, perform prayers, and pay alms-tax, then set them free. Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” https://quran.com/at-tawbah This is the part that needs self-correction. This is the part again where is talks about sixth century Arabs. These were war-like and quite savage tribes. Arabs are not known for being the most civilized of all people. During WWI the way they treated captured Ottoman soldiers and officers war very scary (an that’s the least I can say). So the Quran is saying “Try diplomacy first, honor your treaties if you have one, then show absolutely no mercy, do what you have to do to subdue them all”. There is nothing “unspiritual” about this. That’s just the “realistic” approach of the Quran. It says that there are some realities in this world and sometimes there is only one way to deal with those realities. That’s very different from the Earlier Buddhist or Christian teachings. 3) b) The Arabic word used for “Polytheists” here is “Mushrik”. This term may include people who believe in more than one God. But if you do deeper research into it (and I did). It actually means idolatrists. Idolatry is not just the worship of objects that represent the Gods of Polytheist religions. It means you create an object of this world to represent the one true God. “Shirk” or Idolatry is a theme that is also mentioned in the stories about the lives of the Prophet Abraham. To make it simple: If you have one interpretation of Truth and you are claiming that this is the only possible interpretation of Truth and if you are wrong about it, this means you are committing the error of “shirk”. To be more open and precise: God is usually seen as this entity that is present within each and every one of us. If someone is using religious texts that were originally intended to provide a guideline to all of us to uncover this reality within ourselves, and using it to create an oppressive / tyrannical regime that is based on the misinterpretation of these religious texts and the distortion of the meanings of these texts, this is more an act of “shirk” and makes you a “mushrik” actually. (If I am understanding the issue correctly).
This is just to say that I don’t have a problem with the shamans of Papua New Guinea or the Voodun Priestesses of New-Orleans. There are much more serious issues here that have to do with these “Musfidun” forces that are simply a part of our reality in the age in which we are living. The message here is “Do not underestimate the vengeance of the Ego”. That’s how powerful the fear based self is. Grown-up men who are governing a once powerful and proud nation are reduced to torturing online music broadcasting young men to maintain their own asses.
One of my fellow citizens, a Turkish airline employee just defied the mandatory Hijab rule in Teheran Airport: https://www.yahoo.com/news/tehran-police...30133.html This happened on the same day when our president had called the new “reformist” / “president” of the IRI. / All media outlets are saying that the “reformists” do not really have any power to change anything that’s going on in the country because in effect there is no “Republic” of Iran. This is why the participation rate to the election this year has been the lowest since the foundation of the IRI in 1979.

Quote:First there is this famous statement:
“That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life—unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land—it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.1”

They do, it's their justification. The Great Western Satan does murder and mischief in the land.
Quote:I think this has to do with the early days of Islam when the Prophet and his believers were trying to maintain themselves among rather savage tribes who were very hostile to his beliefs and his ways of doing things.
They were trying to maintain -their- savage ways as they subjugated and murdered the other savage tribes around them. This notion that you have and spend the majority of your posts ballooning here is nothing more or less than the idea that the people in your magic book didn't mean what they said, weren't who they were. To whitewash them so that the character produced is closer to your more delicate and modern sensibilities. The set of people "sowing chaos in the land" was a single circle on a venn diagram with the people who wouldn't bow before them and their god. Anyone who did otherwise was by default and alleged divine decree going against the will of god and all exhortations to violence were thusly justified. This is why islam so routinely manifests itself as an oppressive theocratic regime.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
1) Things would be very easy for all of us if there was some eastern or western Satan outside of us. In fact I really envy those who think the issue is that simple. “Satan” is our own ego basically. It’s us. And then there are methods. For this people it’s as simple as submitting to a number of rituals so that in the end they get to party forever in the afterlife. For me it’s more like understanding some of the inner issues so that I can realize some positive improvements for myself (right here right now). 2)
None of us met the prophet in person. As a deist (because of personal reason) I am tempted to see him (and all other great spiritual teachers) as people who were vibrating at a higher frequency in comparison to ordinary people especially the people of that region in that time of history. And it really doesn’t get any lower. Lawrence of Arabia describes 19th century Arabs as “proud people who are much attached to their traditions”, in other words noble savages. The kind of people with whom it was better to save a bullet for yourself if you were their enemy and you were about to be captured by them (no offence to anyone ). And that’s the early 20th century. As I said, we don’t really know what was happening there in the 6th century AD. But I made peace with the fact that some people prefer to see the prophet as some sort of cult leader who did nothing but subdue people with his ideology. That’s because this is not entirely false. There were actually 6 Caliphs after the prophet himself who were mainly spiritual leaders who ruled us for some 30 years. Than the Umayyad Dynasty came. And that was what you said it is. They starved the followers of the last Caliph (Ali) to death, mainly to gain the political power that came with religion. Schism between Sunnites and Shiites also goes back to that event. So I also happen to agree with this approach: - Yes, Islam (like many other spirituals teachings) were turned into a tool of political cohesion since the very beginning. Objectively: That’s what religion has been in the past, and is still understood in that way today. - But as I said: As someone who is into these spiritual teachings. I believe that the original core of religion (any mainstream religion in this planet) has nothing to do with this. As I said, it’s this inner journey that you take within yourself. Then there are these details. And most of these are logical if you understand it. Like in my country there is this “Let the stray dogs live” movement all over the country. 200,000 people are getting rubies shots every year because of this. In social media there are people who want to lynch you because you might have said something like “Why are stray dogs living in our streets like it’s their god-damn house or something?”.
So I find it very interesting that there is a “Tie them in a diagonal way from their hands and from their legs” clause (for humans) in the Quran. This means that we love our God but we are not completely stupid either. Or that’s how I see it
It’s not an easy task to understand how political islamists or proponents of scholastic ways of thinking of other religious groups are thinking. I just read that the IRI is giving 400 long range missiles to Russia to support their war of aggression there: https://www.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-ira...02389.html This is a type of action you would expect from a more secular actor, like North-Korea for instance. Yet if that state is a state that is “religious” in its very nature. Than how does a religious state send weapons to a state that is carrying out a war of expansion and is very likely to it on ordinary civilians whose only crime is to try to live like any other person in the rest of the world? You know, when Machiavelli published “The Prince” in 1550 no one really liked his book. It was the philosopher of enlightenment + the supporters of republican ideology that valued his work in the later decades and centuries. That’s because those philosophers simply understood the weaknesses of human nature better than scholastic thinkers. If you think that a state that is more “pious”, “religious”, “ethical” in its very foundation is going to do things better than a state that is based on more rational / secular structures, to me this means you need to study the basics of modern philosophy once again.
