Of course not. In my younger days, I threw rocks at Protestants for practical, not moral, reasons.

What a stupid question.

Good for you. But it's always better to do things with a moral imperative in mind.

Not wrong at all. Doing things just to do them is fine, but doing things for moral reasons has a way of putting purpose into what you're doing. More purpose is always better.

I won't say what that event was, but it changed my character in a significant way. So I've been a Republican for the last 10 years, and it's made me a lot less innocent. Before I turned Republican, I smoked weed as much as I could, and flirted with girls. I didn't watch much Netflix. I used to rap. But that all changed. After the incident 10 years ago, I became an alcoholic, drinking mostly beer, and some liquor. That lasted for about a year and a half. I tried getting into weed again, but that ended up being a poor decision. I started watching a lot of Netflix, mainly because I was always so bored. My paranoia and anxiety was at an all time high. I'm medicated now and doing much better. Still a Republican.

So, let me see if I can get this straight: a decade ago, you liked girls, rap, and weed. Then something happened that turned you Republican. This made you go from weed to booze. You tried going back into weed, and regretted it. You discovered Netflix and this led to you undergoing a mental downward spiral. You went on meds and are still a Republican, which factors bugger-all into this little non-story.

Is there a point to any of this?

Now that's just lower than a snakes belly, blaming the weed for whatever the fuck you are.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Republicans are not serious enough to be nihilists. They are closer to absurdists.

Honestly, the distinction would be lost on me.
