Quote:About 15 years ago, Dr. Meyer wrote Signature in the Cell, arguing that DNA was evidence of Design. While Atheists of course criticized the book (no surprises there!),
It wasn't atheists it was the scientific community that rejected Meyers's book. In fact, it condemned him for writing pop science instead of publishing his ideas in peer review (citing conspiracy as the reason) because he knows he's lying and he has to drum up support from people who know nothing about the subject.

The chief problem with Stephen Meyer is that he’s one of those ‘people who know nothing about the subject. Being credentialed in the history of science doesn’t make one a scientist.

You don't get to argue any god(s) into existence, except maybe to suckers.
Most people DON'T WANT TO KNOW it's all bullshit. They're willing to lie to themselves and everybody else about what is "truth". Then they can forget about it.
If it makes them (the religious) content then it's fine with me. Just don't come to an atheist forum, or me and expect the bullshit to be some how validated.
I think their time would be better spent fleecing the sheep, there are plenty out there and they are always birthing more to enter the indoctrination club.

Lol. Great Argument, Bro. Logically reasoned through from beginning to end. </sarcasm>
Honestly, he gave your "argument" (for lack of a better term) exactly the response it deserves.
The design fallacy has been presented here, and debunked here, so many fucking times that many of us simply don't care to argue it any longer. If you wish to pursue it to it's inevitable conclusion, by all means have at it. There are some here who are willing to trash your pathetic psuedo-science for you. But, don't be surprised by the outright dismissal from many who have done it to death already.

He only gave the question the answer it warranted. Sorry you feel your ideas warrant more

Just so you know he makes the same type of threads on the other forum he's on.
Very long, very droning and often very incoherent.
You won't be having any meaningful dialog with him, ever.
Sadly he's the type that will fester here for a long time I fear.

Actually. Fucking. Show. Up. In. The. Physical. World. In. 2023.
That is my evidentiary standard, Nishant. There are no philosophical arguments that I find sufficiently convincing. Not a single one. I need firsthand physical evidence of a god-like being, and until I receive that evidence I am proceeding on the assumption that all gods and god-like beings are fictional.
Could existence of non-physcial things like consciousness be considered evidence?
