My father is an assemblyman and a well respected member of the community that has many times been the president of various organizations (Historical societies and agriculture societies and whatnot) once nominated for a position at the Board of Fish (and was subsequently shot down by a sports fishing alliance, because he is essentially incorruptible and probably the most qualified commercial fisherman in all of alaska, and if not then quite nearly so).
