I may check in now and then and watch the forum for updates...but I would need either a few stiff drinks or a strong tranquilizer to sit through the whole thing. I don't think I have ever been so nervous about a presidential election in my life...and I have been around for quite a few of them. I followed the 2016 elections from work -- my girlfriend was texting me at the time with regular updates as states were called -- and it was with dawning horror that I realized this wannabe authoritarian and foreign puppet would be our president. I don't know if I can do that again. I sure didn't feel this nervous in 2020, though polls in the Blue Wall states look a little better than they did last week. I hope she's peaking at the right time, and that the Puerto Rico joke bites him in the ass. There are 400,000 Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania alone, and another 80,000 or so in North Carolina. And there's always the option of a rampage to alleviate the stress. What? Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"

Trump gives a powerful final message to voters.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
