2024 US Presidential Election
RE: 2024 US Presidential Election
I don't think Biden should send weapons to a country that's committing genocide, targeting aid workers, and bombing foreign embassies.

Maybe, but then again Hamas is using civilians as a human shield.

And since this is a topic about presidential elections, we need to be reminded that Trump would be much worse since he cut off funding for Palestine, he declared the Golan Heights for Israel. He helped move the capital and embassy, he encouraged the settlements, his ambassador wanted to annex the West Bank. He had a Muslim ban and he has since said he’d deport Muslims. Trump also sacrificed the Kurds in Syria because Putin told him to.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

None of that excuses the war-crimes committed by the Israelis.

I think we Americans should stop sending arms to Israel unless and until they stop bulldozing homes and bombing civilians, hospitals, and so on. More trouble than it's worth, IMO.

There you go, that's exactly how the one-party US government (the war-monger government) keeps itself in power.

The other guy's genocide would probably be worse than the current guy's genocide, therefore I'm going to vote for the guy who's currently committing genocide.

I'm going to vote for the guy who's currently committing genocide.

Not included in the above scenario: the possibility of electing someone who wouldn't do genocide.

Based on that article, it appears that the insurer does not have the liquid assets to cover the bond amount.

The talking heads suspect that the guy/company is buying political favors. We know Trump has no issue selling them.

This behavior alone makes Trump a national security risk.

There's a difference between committing and enabling.

That's exactly how presidential elections work: people compare two candidates and pick who they think is better.

Quote:The bipartisan group No Labels won’t put forward a third-party presidential ticket after failing to find a candidate.

“Today, No Labels is ending our effort to put forth a Unity ticket in the 2024 presidential election,” the group said in a release Thursday.

“No Labels has always said we would only offer our ballot line to a ticket if we could identify candidates with a credible path to winning the White House. No such candidates emerged, so the responsible course of action is for us to stand down.”

As much as I'd love to see the rise of a viable third party here, this is not the election to get that started.

Israel could kill Hamas operatives without killing civilians, but they deliberately choose not to. The ‘human shield’ narrative is largely bullshit. The IDF waits to strike at Hamas members until they’re surrounded by civilians. This is a war crime.

Israel isn’t trying to destroy Hamas, they’re trying to destroy Gaza.

Honestly, I was actually thinking the exact same thing here. I think Israel’s government should be punished fro what they did.
