When I first learned calculus, I must admit that I had little interest in the proofs: the computational aspect of it was more interesting to me. However, after improving my understanding of mathematical proofs and learning to speak the proof language somewhat competently, I must admit that re-examining calculus proofs with my newfound knowledge/vision is pretty rewarding. IMO, it is cool to be able to spot a key word in a sentence and know that multiple mathematical ideas/steps were involved in it: it's like being a chessmaster who can mentally envision the various lines and combinations that come about from a single move on the board.
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

But it's a good start. |
