Weird creative space right now. Words drying up. I'm scrabbling to retain my articulate voice but they don't want to come out that way.

Might be time to paint something soon. I'm terrified. The possession of emotion is so much more brutal when the images rage through me, spilling out in colour.

I've been painting for only a few years after a year's art lessons which began when I was 69. 

The reason was simply as an interest. I did do a lot for the first couple of years, because I'm a little OCD, but passion? How I wish.

As I continue to find my own style, I can say with confidence  that most of my stuff is drek,  but I kind a like  the tiny percentage I put on my walls.  Of those maybe 30 paintings, two, possibly three, show any originality.

I envy you you passion, more power to you! May you produce works you think are worthy of your passion.

UGH - DST - This weekend we turn the clocks back an hour. I have to say it's not as bad now that I am not going to work and coming home from work in the dark but I still don't like it being dark so early in the evening (or late afternoon). Need to up my intake of vitamin D to make up for living in darkness.

Every year when that's about to happen I think "awesome, more work in the sun..." because, you know, I'm out there at 4am this part of the year.

But then I remember...no...no...you'll just be out there.....at....3am.

I want to build a printing press instead of handing my kids worksheets for school, this year. As in have them build it, instead of printing worksheets.

Daylight savings time is particularly pointless where I am - sunrise / sunset times don't change in a very significant way throughout the year in the tropics.

Daylight saving time can be a real pain if you're trying to do any serious stargazing in the spring or fall. In the warmer months, astronomical twilight starts late enough as it is - tacking on one more clock hour makes it hard to go out to an observing site on a weeknight because it leaves less time to sleep when you get home.

Yes - it's not horrible but is noticeable. No big deal to up the vitamin D.
