First husband was four years younger. Second was a year younger. This one (current and last) is 8 years younger.

This made me think of a picture I have of my maternal grandparents shortly before they married. Grandma was 15 and granddaddy was 24. By the time I came along I didn't realize there was such an age difference. In that photo grandma looks more like granddaddy's daughter than his future bride.

A gay couple I know are both annoyingly judgemental about age gap friendships and relationships. Plus whenever I argue with them about it there's no rational argument it's just an impulsive statement along the line of it's wrong because it's weird.

It blows my mind that a couple in a relationship that's outside the bounds of statistical normality would judge other people so harshly like that.

The age gaps in question were a mid 20s woman seeing a man in his 50s, and a woman in early 20s being friends with me and I'm in my late 30s.

I think especially when someone has reached their 20s, whatever the age gap is, its really up to them at that point.

I do obviously think some age gaps are wrong when one of the people is too young but it's difficult to exactly and precisely say what the right age is.

I've certainly experienced plenty of bigotry from within the lgbtq+ community as well as outside. Plenty of lgbtq+ groups have banned me for my sexuality, or attacked me for my gender and sexuality.

As far as what age gaps are wrong I'd draw the line at informed consent. Everything else is none of my business.
