Do fish feel pain?

RE: Do fish feel pain?
Perception is not always reality. We interpret a thrashing fish on land as feeling pain as it struggles to breathe, but we have to learn not to project based on sight alone.

I don't think that will extend the discussion in a productive way. We all know what "pain" means, and, for quite a lot of concepts (including "knowledge"), no philosopher has successfully defined them.
