What's your stance on bringing back extinct species?
#21
RE: What's your stance on bringing back extinct species?
An evergreen question for any plan to repair or improve anything, ever.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The topic is to bring back extinct, but formerly existent, species,  not animate some fantasy creatures that must defy laws of physics to exist.

Unicorns. They are in the Bible so they must have existed.

Oh, we're gonna do unicorns. Veruca Salt demands it.

The next step is to work on breeding mini unicorns...how cool would that be?

Teacup unicorns.

Which doesn’t make it not an important consideration. Just the opposite.

There’s nothing about dragons that defies physical laws. And no, I’m not talking about monitor lizards and such. You could have a realio, trulio, fire-breathing, flying, gold-hoarding dragon without even bending - much less breaking - the laws of physics.

And decent politicians are extant, you just have to look hard to find them.

Absolutely.   I hope I didn't miscommunicate otherwise.  I'm highly skeptical of our execution with respect to anything worth doing vis a vis biodiveristy and climate change.  I think the profit motive would ultimately be more compelling than the charitable or environmental motive.  The main trick being how to convince MAGA country to do something africans are doing.

Dragons don't defy the laws of physics?
