I’m not sure how starring in a Uwe Boll film qualifies as ‘picking up steam’. It’s the cinematic career equivalent of escaping a cave-in only to be trapped in piraña-infested quicksand while being repeatedly struck by lightning during a hailstorm.

New 'Gremlins' and 'Goonies' Movies in the Works at Warner Bros.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. Discovery is currently developing on new films for Gremlins and The Goonies. Christopher Columbus, who wrote the scripts for both original films, is working on another Gremlins follow-up. Meanwhile, The Goonies seems to be further away from being made, as only a treatment has surfaced for the next film. A potential Goonies sequel has long been discussed by the original movie's cast members, and it seems most are keen on reprising their roles from the 1985 film. That said, it's unclear if either Gremlins or The Goonies will be a sequel or a straight-up reboot, but like most movies these days, we predict that the end result will be a little bit of both.

Robert Eggers Set To Make ‘Labyrinth’ 2
A day after Focus Features’ announcement of Werwulf, which he’s set as his next film on the heels of Nosferatu, we’ve learned that the filmmaker has closed his deal to write and direct a new Labyrinth film for TriStar Pictures.
Plot details for Eggers’ Labyrinth are under wraps, but we’re told the film is a sequel to, rather than a remake of, Jim Henson’s 1986 classic. Eggers is writing the script with Sjón, his collaborator on 2022 Viking actioner The Northman and with whom he’s also working on Werwulf. Chris and Eleanor Columbus will produce alongside Lisa Henson, with Brian Henson executive producing.
