Zack Snyder is remaking John Carpenter’s classic Escape From New York. I don’t know if it’s part of the plan, but I can easily see Kurt Russell’s son Wyatt as Snake Plissken.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Armie Hammer is back! His movie just got released and it's called "Citizen Vigilante."
Armie plays the main character who is a brothel owner who is sick of unchecked migrant crime so he becomes a vigilante and starts killing migrants.
It's directed by Uwe Boll.
It has already been banned in Germany.
Oh well, better luck next time, Armie.

It's because they led with The Shining, isn't it? Granted, the Shining BTS doco made by His daughter Vivian is easily the biggest source for footage of Him at work.

Not just The Shining, I don't think much of Kubrick generally. If I'm going to shell out for a fancy-arsed box set like this, there are other directors I'd choose.

Of course, as you could probably guess from the capitalization, He’s my favorite director. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a Non-4K option.

*shrug* To each his own. There are other filmmakers I enjoy more.

It seems like Elliott Page's role in The Odyssey has been confirmed.
And it's not Achilles. It's not even Elpenor. According to a press release released onto IntoFilm:
Quote:Emmy winner JON BERNTHAL (The Bear, The Walking Dead) plays Menelaus, king of Sparta and husband of Helen of Troy; Emmy nominee HIMESH PATEL (Tenet, Yesterday) is Eurylochus, the second-in-command to Odysseus’ crew; Tony Award winner BILL IRWIN (Interstellar, Legion) plays Cyclops, a one-eyed giant; Academy Award® nominee ELLIOT PAGE (Inception, Juno) is Sinon, a Greek warrior; Emmy winner BENNY SAFDIE (Oppenheimer, Good Time) plays Agamemnon, king of Mycenae; ten-time Grammy nominee TRAVIS SCOTT (soundtrack on Tenet, The Fate of the Furious) is Bard, a poet and storyteller; Emmy nominee COREY HAWKINS (Straight Outta Compton, BlacKkKlansman) plays Polybus, an Ithacan suitor; and MIA GOTH (Frankenstein, Pearl) is Melantho, a servant of Queen Penelope.
Who is Sinon, you may ask? He's the Greek soldier responsible for getting Troy to accept the famous Trojan Horse.
