Predictions at this point are still premature.

I saw a few minutes of the debate and noticed that Biden really isn't on top form at all, nowhere near it. In fact he's always looked clueless.

Tell us what you know about looking clueless.

Trump is the embodiment of Peale's Power of Positive Thinking, which for Trump means that he is always perfect and if he says something often enough, like the affirmations he utters to the mirror, the things become true.

Biden needs a shawl and a rocking chair.

what a mess.

Yeah, old Sleepy Joe is low energy, as they say. I'm looking forward to the lefty tantrums when the god-emperor wins again...after everything. It's going to be even sweeter than last time.

It's like Déjà-vu

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

You can't math.  You bring up random topics to post about often with multiple topics that don't even belong together.

You appear every day to be more of a troll than I earlier suspected.

Jerkoff

Your cheesy grin makes you seem more trollish.

I think you are being rude. You know me since 2022 now. Why would I want to troll you? I don’t even know you Smile

If you said that about this particular topic, I am just worried (about the world in general) so I truly want to know your ideas about this “rise of populism” issue.

There has been a far right disaster in the European elections about a month ago. 2 days ago the Racist Party of France obtained a third of the votes and now all the other parties are forming alliances to try to reduce the impact of this second far right disaster:

So I truly want to know your opinion about a possible second term of Joe Biden. You can trust me on that.

In history, the was this dude who held the title of President until he was 79 years of age (back in the 1910’s) and was so successful that his name was given to Frances first aircraft carrier in 1961:

You are confusing rude with honestly expressing what I think of your endless ramblings.

If you are so thin-skinned that you can't deal with your lack of math skills being pointed out (and not just by me) maybe you need to let us know at the beginning of each missive that you are delicate.

It seems pretty clear that this, like so many problems, comes down to economics. Liberalism hasn't been serving the people well for quite a while now. (And by "liberalism" I mean the economic approach.) Widening income inequality, austerity, eroded public services, etc. etc., while the rich get richer.

It's natural for people to reject the status quo and look for alternatives which (they think) can forcefully straighten things out.

This is not to say that the right wingers and the racists really CAN improve anything. Only that they pretend they can, and people are desperate for change. It's easy to condemn all the Trump voters as idiots and racists, but we have to understand how he could appeal to people.

Camus said: "Be careful, when a democracy is sick, fascism comes to its bedside, but it is not to inquire about its health."

Quote:So I truly want to know your opinion about a possible second term of Joe Biden. You can trust me on that.

He has been the loyal hard-working servant of the banks and the corporations for decades now. He's 100% status quo, and anybody who has a memory longer than a goldfish knows that he's not a friend to progressives. Just one example: he worked hard to get Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court.

When old people get to the stage he's at, it's no longer a slow decline. They tend to go downhill really fast. So the idea that he could do another four years is just laughable.

What we should really take away from the debate and its aftermath is that we can't trust the pro-Biden media. (We knew that already, but it's blatant this time.) Just weeks ago they were in lock-step telling us that he's sharper than he's ever been. And when that was revealed as an obvious lie, they turned on him in lock-step as well. But they've already started to change the spin yet again, so it's hard to predict what the rank and file Dems will be believing next week.

Yes you are right on that one. But it’s not the math. I am sleeping at the switch sometimes. I thought a presidential term was 5 year. It’s four years. Mr. Biden has been the president from Januray 2021 to January 2025 and if he is re-elected he will be the president form January 2025 to January 2029 right?

Sorry about that Smile

I liked the first part of your answer.

I am not so sure about the second part. Smile

Elton John is showing support for President Joe Biden. He says “never again”. Did you know that women were not allowed to have their own credit card without the approval of their husbands until the mid 70’s?

So I guess I’ll leave this debate to US citizens but I totally get what Sir Elton John is trying to say here Smile

(Those pins – like the one on the collar of Mr. Biden – can flip a lot. It’s also happening to me since I started using them regularly 2-3 years ago Smile )
