Dems are of course going to handwring over a Republican shooting at a Republican, and go "We all need to tone down our rhetoric" meanwhile MTG and the conservative base are going to go full on "DEMS ARE THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! THIS IS A BATTLE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL!" and the media will of course ignore it while wagging their finger at Dems for saying Trump is a threat to democracy because he *checks* tried to overthrow an election. That's all. Just trying to overthrow one little election. I mean how bad is that, really?
