The craziest part is how the tariffs themselves have absolutely nothing to do with what is actually causing the trade imbalances.  In that frame of reference, they're essentially random.

What the idiot in chief fails to realize is that trade is not zero sum. I hand you a green piece of paper for real goods. We both benefit. 

This complete simpleton sees every interaction as winning or losing. Which makes him a fucking loser.
