I would sooner have dad (the veterinarian) still alive to turn to for medical advice than the dipshits who are currently in charge.  Dad had some issues but at least he was educated in medicine, not a heroin addict, and didn't have worm brain.  In fact, I was a little miffed that he and his sister (a nurse) both died the year I was diagnosed with cancer...my medical backup left me right when I needed them most.

That had to be one tough goddamned year.

My first thoughts when I got the diagnosis were - who am I going to call for advice?????

And yeah - 2009 was a rough one for me.

It has been studied, it doesn't cause autism.  Just like vaccines, the researchers have noted that untreated fever is still worse than the made up bullshit they're allegedly concerned with.  Moreover, autism existed before tylenol existed.  It's not different, it's still nutter shit.

In fairness, I doubt it’s anywhere near the only cause if they do establish it as a cause. My understanding of the causes of autism, it seems to be largely hereditary with some room for stuff happening in utero. And, in fairness, according to the FDA, the issue isn’t quite as resolved as you think it is. That said, what we have so far is enough to establish a potential correlation*, but there’s nowhere near enough evidence to demonstrate any causation, and indeed, there’s studies that contradict it. But it’s still less blatantly wrong than attempts to link it to vaccines, 

* evidently, the biggest correlation seems to be with mothers who take lots of acetaminophen over their pregnancies. And given acetaminophen’s lack of a therapeutic window, that can’t be a good thing in any case.

It is wrong in exactly the same way they are consistently wrong about vaccines, and by the same measure.

It’s not better shit, it’s the same shit. They must figure they’ve maxed out on the vaccine hesitant demographics and still need a bigger tent as pretext for the destruction of the agency.

It's cut and dried in that it is saying there could be liver damage to the fetus (as well as other issues) with CHRONIC use of acetaminophen throughout pregnancy.

Anyone is in danger of damage to their health with overuse of Tylenol.  

Everything isn't about what does or does not cause autism.

Fuck, I smoked through my entire first pregnancy.  I was warned it may result in a low birthweight baby.  She was over eight pounds.  She'll be 48 this year and has been my overall healthiest kid.

I do not suggest smoking, especially while pregnant, just like I don't suggest chronic use of most medications.

Life is full of surprises and shit, and not always in that order. Sorry for your losses, for what it's worth. A lot of people would've quit in those circumstances, good on you for not.
