There are already protests against Trump (in Chicago)

And I wouldn't want to be in his skin when MAGA realizes he conned them

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Trump Voter Realizes MAGA POLICY HURTS HIM...

Quote:@ 0:00 Results have already started. This is from an american woman today: My husband works for a small manufacturing company and here in southwestern PA that means most employees Trump voters. When the president of the company sat them down today to tell them their annual Christmas bonus would not come this year because they now need to purchase at least a years worth of products prior to January 21 st due to the proposed tariffs, they did not understand. My husband said that their president had to explain what a tariff is and how it will directly hurt the company. They all thought the foreign company paid the tariff. This is the level of ignorance voting against their own interests here in PA, where we failed American women and children last night.

Some people don’t know what a tariff is?
I think that tariffs are great. For example, the USA buys a lot of softwood lumber from Canada. By putting on a lot of tax on canadian wood, USA companies will have to shift and buy wood from USA sources.
That would mean that your end product ends up costing more.
As a result, the citizen republican might stop bitching about inflation.

Plenty of us are aware of how tariffs work; a system that has been broken by decades of abuse will not just easily, over-night fix itself.

Put Americans before corporate interests. Like a drug addict forced to go cold turkey.

What a wonderful plan, call america a drug addict and put it through some pain, with a heaping helping of knowingly lying through our teeth about what tariffs do. I guess you'd have to, right, to sneak up on that junkie.

Tariffs raise prices the average price of goods, but leave local goods slightly cheaper.

Tariffs work for the economy, if all your trading partners just suck it up and take the hit. But they won't, and in the end the reduction in trade makes the economy poorer.

Trump is likely going to claim that he can force that outcome - force all other countries to suck it up "or else". The first country that does countervailing duties will be hit with ever-escalating tariffs by Trump. The problem is, every country is going to do it. A world-wide trade war will tank the stock market and the economy.

If they have a problem with it, they can take their business elsewhere; and frankly the countries he has mostly heavily advocated for tariffs against - places like China & Iran - are places *no* American business should be doing business with to begin with.

"Every country is going to do it." only if they wish to see their own economies fail. I refuse to buy Russian and Chinese propaganda, Islamic propaganda, to the point that the West has become such a decrepit old man that must be beholden to their interests.

No, I was just raised by a family that put Americans before people who chant for our death.

If you believe our allies are going to flip out of a 10% tariff then I don't know what to say. That is a *steal* and they would actually be braindead not to take it.

Perfect mark.
